Eva Longoria has taken to Twitter to encourage her celebrity friends to support charity.

The Desperate Housewives superstar has enlisted the help of the stars to launch TwitChange, a massive online auction that will hit the Net on September 15. The idea is simple: TwitChange is the only global celebrity auction where Twitter users can bid to get three things: be followed by their favorite celebrity on Twitter, retweeted, or mentioned by them in a special tweet!

All proceeds from the TwitChange celebrity auction will provide AHomeInHaiti.org the means to finish rebuilding the Miriam Center. The Miriam Center houses, educates and loves on Haitian children with cerebral palsy, severe autism, and other major life challenges and is one of the only facilities of its kind in Haiti. The current facility houses children in the earthquakeʼs aftermath and is extremely overcrowded. These kids need and deserve a permanent home.

Country Stars To Shine For Flood Victims At Charity Concert

Taylor Swift, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are the latest country stars to offer their help to victims of Nashville’s devastating floods.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw announced on Monday that they are planning a massive benefit concert to be held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville next month.

“On Tuesday, June 22nd, the Music City community will unite to assist victims of the floods that ravaged Nashville and Middle Tennessee earlier this month,” said the pair. “The damage that we’ve seen to people’s homes and the effect that the flooding has had on their lives is unimaginable. But we’ve seen the spirit of our community first hand, as volunteers, church groups and our local business leaders rally to help.”

Bono Leads Celebrity PSA For (RED) Charity

(RED) has announced the launch of The Lazarus Effect Campaign, a multi-platform campaign across TV, online and print, including an HBO documentary airing on May 24, that will help raise awareness of the transformative effect of antiretroviral medicine for those living with HIV in Africa.

Launching April 29 on HBO, the awareness campaign will roll out across various TV and online networks in the coming weeks. The campaign equates the relative value of 40 cents by comparing trivial items worth 40 cents e.g. a stick of gum, a smear of lipstick — to the value of one day’s worth of life transforming antiretroviral medication.

The campaign, directed by renowned photographer Brigitte Lacombe, features Bono, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Julianne Moore, Naomi Watts, Claire Danes, Alek Wek, Iman, John Turturro, Toni Collette, Hugh Jackman, Orlando Bloom, Lucy Liu, Gabourey Sidibe, Kerry Washington, Bryan Cranston, LeAnn Rimes, Jane Lynch, Michelle Rodriguez, Gwen Stefani, Hayden Christensen, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Don Cheadle, Ludacris, Common, Benicio del Toro, Dakota Fanning, Christy Turlington and the Jonas Brothers.

LeAnn Rimes Records Video For Psoriasis Campaign

LeAnn Rimes is giving her support to a new campaign to help sufferers cope with psoriasis, a skin condition she has battled with since the age of two.

The singer has recorded a video for a new campaign organized by the American Academy of Dermatology and the National Psoriasis Foundation to help break down stigmas related to the disease.

“I’m LeAnn Rimes, and like you, I’ve lived with the physical and emotional effects of psoriasis,” she says on the video. "Even though I continue to learn how to manage my disease with the help of my dermatologist, it’s a struggle I still face every day. That’s why I’m so proud to be part of a campaign like Stop Hiding that helps us strive to raise awareness about psoriasis.

Bette Midler And 50 Cent Together For Charity

The devine Bette Midler is joining with 50 Cent and Dolly Parton to host her annual Spring Picnic to benefit the New York Restoration Project.

The event will take place at Fort Tryon Park, New York City, on May 19, and will include a BBQ and entertainment.

Midler founded the New York Restoration Project in 1995 to improve the natural balance of life in the city. The organization is based on the belief that clean, green neighborhoods are fundamental to the quality of life, and that every community in New York City deserves an oasis of natural beauty. Seeing many parks and open spaces in dire need of clean-up and restoration, Midler created NYRP to be the “conservancy of forgotten places,” particularly in New York City’s underserved communities.

Celebrity-Designed My Little Pony Dolls Up For Auction

Little girls all around the year have been playing with My Little Pony dolls for 25 years, and to celebrate, Hasbro Inc has launched an auction of one-of-a-kind celebrity-designed My Little Ponies for charity.

Courteney Cox, John Stamos, LeAnn Rimes, Amy Grant, and David Arquette are among the celebrities who have designed the toys that are up for auction.

The 18-inch ponies are available for bidding now on www.charityfolks.com, and the proceeds will be donated to the Give Kids The World Village, a resort in Orlando that hosts children with life-threatening illnesses and their families for a cost-free stay and visit to the Central Florida theme parks and attractions.

Stand Up To Cancer A Huge Success

A multitude of stars came out on Friday night as part of the Stand Up To Cancer television extravaganza to raise money for cancer research.

The hour-long program – simulcast live on NBC, ABC, and CBS – featured celebrities such as Jennifer Garner, Halle Berry, Forest Whitaker and Casey Affleck reading accounts of people battling cancer, as well as musical items, comedy sketches, and the opportunity for people to ring up and pledge donations – with stars such as Ellen DeGeneres, America Ferrera and Kirsten Dunst answering the phones.

“This is an absolutely historic night, thanks to the unbelievable generosity of the three networks,” event organiser, producer and cancer survivor Laura Ziskin told the audience at Los Angeles’ Kodak Theatre.
