Hollywood’s favorite comedians will once again come together for the Ninth Annual Night of Comedy benefitting the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation (CAAF). The event will be hosted by Doris Roberts, and will see event regular Ray Romano hit the stage with a variety of comedy friends.

The event will feature performances by Bryan Callen, Kevin Nealon, Garry Shandling and Fred Willard. Past performers include Wayne Brady, Drew Carey, Dane Cook, Kathy Griffin, Kevin James, George Lopez, Chris Rock, Bob Saget, Sarah Silverman and David Spade. The event is considered one of the best annual charity comedy shows in the US.

Proceeds benefit the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation, the only organization solely devoted to providing social, educational, recreational, and other critical support programs to vulnerable children impacted by HIV/AIDS in the United States and in other countries.

The American Red Cross has announced eight new members to its National Celebrity Cabinet, a group of celebrity supporters who promote Red Cross services by donating their time, helping neighbors prepare for emergencies, responding to disasters and lending a helping hand to those in need – down the street, across the country and around the world.

The 2nd annual Big Game Big Give invitation-only fundraiser benefiting The Giving Back Fund raised more than $200,000 for charity on Super Saturday, the night before Super Bowl in Miami.

With the help of host Transformers director Michael Bay, and his beautiful waterfront estate as its backdrop, over 350 celebrities, athletes and business leaders united for philanthropy. The spectacular event was produced by MMG, an event-marketing agency based in Miami and New York, and was voted the number one Super Bowl party on ESPN’s party report.

Included in the star-studded night was the debut of Aston Martin’s new four-door sports car, the Rapide. Pro skateboarder Tony Hawk raised over $1 million for charity on Sunday, November 9, at the 5th annual Acitivision Presents Stand Up for Skateparks event in Beverly Hills.

But Hawk wasn’t alone in his effort – he was joined by a number of his celebrity friends, including Shaun White, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis, David Spade, Perry Ferrell, Chris “Big Black” Boykin, Kathy Ireland, Bam Margera and BMX legend Mat Hoffman, as well as event benefit committee members Jamie Lee Curtis and Mia Hamm. The one-day action-sports extravaganza included games, activities, a special acoustic performance by Social Distortion, and a Vert Demo on Hawk’s personal ramp.

The concert raised funds for the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation, which provides recreational and educational opportunities for at-risk boys and girls, and was preceded by an invitation-only concert on Friday that featured James Taylor and Five For Fighting’s John Ondrasik.

David Spade Digs Deep For Humane Society

David Spade, star of the CBS hit Rules of Engagement, is supporting the Humane Society of the White Mountains in Lakeside, Arizona, by donating a much-needed $10,000 to the shelter where his mother is an active volunteer.

The donation, which arrived last week and follows the actor’s visit there last month, will go towards building a new puppy yard and bigger dog park.

The Humane Society of the White Mountains shelter director Anna-Marie Rea addressed reports on websites that the shelter is falling apart and on the verge of closing. “The roof is not falling down,” Rea said. “We just got a fresh paint job outside … and a nice new fence around the perimeter.”
