Jennifer Aniston And Eva Longoria Design Christmas Cards For Charity

To celebrate giving back with style this holiday season, Tiny Prints, the beloved online destination for stationery, greeting cards, photo books, gifts and more, has partnered with the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF) for the second year in a row to create a limited-edition collection of holiday cards and personalized stationery designed by five A-list celebrities.

Featuring fifteen festive cards designed by Jennifer Aniston, Eva Longoria, Catherine Bell, Zoe Saldana and Bridget Moynahan, a portion of the proceeds from the collection will benefit EBMRF, an organization dedicated to preventing and helping both children and adults with the drastic skin condition of Epidermolysis Bullosa.

“It’s always an honor to be asked to design a card that benefits EBMRF,” says Jennifer.

Catherine Bell To Attend Artists Against Drugs Art Show

Catherine Bell (Army Wives) will be among the guests at the Artists Against Drugs Art Show Benefit in LA this weekend.

Say No To Drugs is a registered not-for-profit 501©3 organization and is comprised of volunteers dedicated to educating kids, teens and adults about the harmful effects of drugs and thereby preventing drug abuse. They do so by hosting fundraising benefits, such as the annual 5K/10K Say No To Drugs Holiday Classic at the Universal Studios Back Lot (now going into its 11th year), where they highlight and publicize, to people of all ages, that it is okay to say “NO” to drugs and that they are doing something about the drug problem. Proceeds from their fundraising benefits are donated to local non-profit youth-oriented drug education and prevention organizations, including The Boys and Girls Club, Drug Free World, and Drug Free Marshals.

The Art Show Benefit will feature a number of art works donated to the cause, and will be attended by stars such as Ben Hogestyn (The Bold and the Beautiful), Danica Stewart (Passions), Zosia Mamet (Parenthood), Jason Wahler (The Hills), Colbie Veil (Lead Singer of Dopesnake), Cold Water Canyon, Councilman Tom LaBonge and artists Nathan Spoor and Michael Doven.

Samuel L. Jackson To Lead Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament

A huge number of stars and famous faces will hit the golf course in next month as part of the BMW Charity Pro-Am tournament.

The 2010 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation will be played Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 16 at South Carolina’s Bright’s Creek Golf Club, The Carolina Country Club and Thornblade Club. Among the 28 celebrities confirmed to tee off are former Eagles guitarist Don Felder, Catherine Bell, Samuel L. Jackson, Dr. Phil McGraw, Dennis Quaid, Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney, Kurt Russell, Kevin Sorbo, Luke Wilson and many others.

The BMW Charity Pro-Am is the only tournament on the Nationwide Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Nationwide Tour professionals in a four-day better-ball competition over three courses. Amateurs, celebrities and pros rotate between three courses on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the 14 lowest scoring pro-amateur/pro-celebrity teams advancing to play Sunday’s final round at Thornblade Club. Celebrities play once at each course on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Professional winner of the overall 72-hole event will take home $108,000 from the total purse of $600,000.

Gwyneth Paltrow Designs Bikini For Charity

Following her announcement that she was going to design clothes for a British children’s charity, Gwyneth Paltrow is at it again. This time, the 36-year-old star has created a bikini as part of the Lilly Pulitzer Colorful Cause: Celebrity Designer Program, supporting The EB Medical Research Foundation.

As part of Lily Pulitzer’s 50th anniversary, the company has joined with nine actresses to celebrate style and purpose. Celebrities such as Brooke Shields, Debra Messing, Marcia Cross, Angie Harmon, Bridget Moynahan, Catherine Bell, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Garcelle Beauvais-Nilson have joined the program to create limited edition prints for designs for “mommy-and-me” looks for both daughters and sons.

Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a genetic condition that causes skin and linings to break and blister at the slightest touch. Sufferers battle daily with fluid loss and infection of the open wounds. In worst cases, they’ll die of skin cancer before the age of 40, many in infancy.

Army Wives Join Battle Against Breast Cancer

Lifetime Television’s hit show Army Wives has teamed up with Ford’s Warriors in Pink campaign to support the fight against breast cancer.

Earlier this month, a special episode of Season Two of the hit show featured a storyline designed to highlight the cause that included cast members Kim Delaney, Catherine Bell, Sally Pressman, Bridget Brannagh, Wendy Davis, Sterling Brown, Drew Fuller and Brian McNamara wearing limited edition Army Wives –inspired Warriors in Pink apparel. The episode has now been followed by a series of advertisements and Public Service Announcements drawing attention to the campaign, and the clothes are been sold to the public with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

As part of the campaign, Ford and Lifetime will also seek out real army wives who have made significant differences in their communities. A Dream Fulfillment vignette will air this November during a special “Army Wives” episode to recognize one real life army wife as a special Warrior in Pink. The real life Warrior in Pink will be honored for her achievements during the episode by receiving a 2009 Mustang car with a special Warriors in Pink package. Ford will also donate $500 from every sale of 2009 Mustangs to the cause.

Joe Pesci Joins Charity Golf Tournament

Actor Joe Pesci and former NFL players Sterling Sharpe and Kordell Stewart have joined the line-up of celebrities for the 2008 BMW Charity Pro-Am golf tournament on May 15, while actors Samuel L. Jackson, David James Elliott, Kevin Sorbo, and Lucas Black have withdrawn.

“We are very excited to have Joe Pesci and Kordell Stewart joining the field for the first time and to have Sterling Sharpe return,” said Darin MacDonald, tournament director of the BMW Charity Pro-Am. “It is unfortunate to hear about Samuel L. Jackson, David James Elliott, Kevin Sorbo and Lucas Black, but we understand. They had committed to play, but apparently the shooting schedules of their new movies have changed. We understand that their work takes precedence, and we wish them all well with these productions.”

The celebrities now scheduled to compete in this year’s BMW Charity Pro-Am golf tournament are Joe Pesci, Dennis Quaid, Luke Wilson, Greg Kinnear, Kurt Russell, Catherine Bell, Wayne Gretzky, Janet Jones-Gretzky, Ty Gretzky, Dave Coulier, Stefanie Schaeffer, Patrick Warburton, Oliver Hudson, Michael Pena, Sterling Sharpe, Kordell Stewart, Jason Dohring, Josh Kelley, Cheech Marin, Javier Colon, Steve Azar, Gary Valentine, Mark Rypien, Branford Marsalis, Pat Green, George Rogers, Ben Wright, and Jennifer Mills. Winnings from the tournament will go to the winner’s charity of choice.

BMW’s Golf Charity Event will be televised live on the Golf Channel from the Bright’s Creek Golf Club, N.C., on May 15-18, 2008. It will be the only U.S. Nationwide golf tournament where amateurs, celebrities, and pros gather together for charity.

The professional winner of the overall 72 hole event will take home $117,000 from the total purse of $650,000, which is one of the largest purses on the Nationwide Tour. Amateurs and celebrities will compete for individual prizes and cash donations to the charity of their choice out of the beneficiaries selected by South Carolina Charities. The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of America, and the Spartanburg Community College will also benefit from this event.

The first seven tournaments have raised more than $5.7 million for 80+ area charities.
