DreamWorks Animation has announced that the stars of their upcoming film Puss In Boots have participated in a purrr-fect promotion whereby one-of-a-kind, personally decorated Frye boots will be auctioned on eBay, with the proceeds to benefit Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C).

Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis and Billy Bob Thornton using their own creativity, have each personally decorated a pair of Frye Harness boots with art supplies donated by Plaid Enterprises.

“I welcomed the opportunity to design a pair of boots that I know Puss would be proud of,” said Antonio Banderas. “He is hard to please, but I think he will eventually need a new pair.”

Isabella Rossellini Hopes To Inspire Italy

Isabella Rossellini is hoping that her Italian narration for Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s documentary Home will encourage people to look after the planet.

The French filmmaker shot the film from the sky, giving a unique view of the Earth and showing the impact humans are having on it.

“I knew of his work for a long time so I said yes without hesitation, so I could get to know him,” said Rossellini at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. "He’s somebody that I’ve admired for 20 years.

This is the second annual green auction hosted by elite auction house, Christie’s. Last year’s event raised over $2 million for environmental groups, with items such as a round of golf with Bill Clinton going for $80,000.

This year’s auction will see artists, designers and entertainers come together to raise funds for Oceana, Conservation International, Natural Resources Defense Council and the Central Park Conservancy.

Stars To Be Honored For Charity At Chrysalis Butterfly Ball

Chrysalis – a charity dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged and homeless individuals become self-sufficient through employment opportunities – will hold its ninth annual Butterfly Ball this weekend.

The event will honor last year’s host, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, as well as Glee creator Ryan Murphy and Rush Hour director Brett Ratner. It was through Ratner that the organization connected with various celebrities, including Salma Hayek, Ice Cube, Nicolas Cage and action star Jackie Chan. Chan gave $100,000 to the charity, the largest single donation Chrysalis has ever received.

This year’s event will feature a special performance by the stars of Glee, and will be hosted by Randy Jackson and Mila Kunis. Rebecca Gayheart-Dane, Rick Hess and Dana Walden are co-chairs for the event.

Justin Timberlake has been named celebrity charity earner of the year, outstripping favorites such as Bono and Oprah.

According to website The Daily Beast, the SexyBack singer raised $9.3 million for the Shriners Hospitals for Children in 2009. Second place went to Madonna, who raised $5.5 million for Raising Malawi, followed by Pamela Anderson ($4.8 million for PETA), Oprah ($4 million for Oprah’s Angel Network), and Bono ($3.5 for the ONE Campaign).

The concert will take place on December 11 and feature performances from Wyclef Jean, Donna Summer and Toby Keith. The Nobel Concert is an annual event televised in over 100 countries, and has in the past been hosted by Kevin Spacey, Uma Thurman, Sharon Stone, Salma Hayek and many others. A selection of luxury items will be auctioned today, December 12, for charity in Dubai, with stars such as Salma Hayek, Goldie Hawn, and Laura Linney lending a hand.

The auction is part of the Dubai International Film Festival, with all proceeds going to the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR). Some of the rare and exclusive lots include a Cartier ‘Salma Hayek’ Love Handcuff – customized especially for Cinema Against Aids Dubai – as well as a limited edition hand-painted dress from Balenciaga’s Paris runway show, and a Suzuki DRZ 400 SM prototype motorcycle used in the film Terminator Salvation.

AmfAR is dedicated to the support of AIDS research, AIDS prevention, treatment, education and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related public policy. Their annual Cinema Against AIDS gala has generated more than $22 million for essential AIDS research since 1993.
