Big Names To Celebrate Muhammad Ali's 70th Birthday At Charity Gala

The cast of entertainers and sports icons slated to appear at Keep Memory Alive’s 16th annual Power of Love Gala on Saturday, Feb. 18, in Las Vegas keeps getting bigger every day, though only a limited number of tickets remain for the celebrity-filled fundraiser.

Fans wishing to see what’s happening inside this one-of-a-kind 70th birthday celebration for Muhammad Ali — which will raise funds in support of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and the Muhammad Ali Center — will also be able to tune in to “Ali 70th From Las Vegas” on ABC on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 4 p.m. ET and 2 p.m. PT. It will re-air on ESPN2 later that same night at 10 p.m. ET.

The lineup for the night includes performances and heartfelt tributes from some of the world’s hottest entertainers and sports icons. The list of performers and celebrity supporters slated to appear at the celebration includes Stevie Wonder, Samuel L. Jackson, David Beckham, Larry King, Ken Jeong, Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, Common, Lenny Kravitz, Sean Combs, Anthony Hopkins, John Legend, Chris Cornell, Cee Lo Green, Joe Perry, Slash, Terrence Howard, David Copperfield, Siegfried & Roy, Andre Agassi, Stefanie Graf, Jim Brown, Randy Couture, Brad Garrett, Kelly Rowland, Dave Koz, Robin Leach, James Gandolfini, Steve Schirripa, Chazz Palminteri and Sammy Hagar. The San Marino Gallery will host an opening night gala for the premiere of LA Art Experience, a three-day exhibition of the gallery’s contemporary works at the historic Majestic Halls in Downtown Los Angeles (650 South Spring Street) on Friday, October 14th.

The three-day exhibiton of art music and dance will be hosted by Adam Shankman, Nigel Lythgoe, Carrie Ann Inaba and Katie Holmes, and feature guests Ice-T, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, Ty Perkins and many others.

Snoop Dogg has helped publicize a special charity fund in the memory of Nate Dogg, who died last week.

Snoop was one of the stars – including Dr Dre and The Game – who turned out in Long Beach on Saturday to attend the rap star’s funeral. Nate Dogg died of health complications following a series of strokes in 2007 and 2008.

“We goin hard 4 #natedogg today,” tweeted Snoop. “We tryn 2 make sure his family’s straight. 100% of donations go 2 his fam.”

Trump was the subject of Family Guy creator Seth Farlane’s second Comedy Central Celebrity Roast. Trump was roasted in front of celebrity guests such as Snoop Dogg, Rihanna, John Legend and Larry King at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

On July 19, the Hollywood Palladium was filled with more stars in one place than a usual Monday evening should for the 2010 Do Something Awards hosted by VH1 on the blue – not red, but blue – carpet.

Before the event kicked off, Melanie Stevenson from DoSomething.org streamed live and greeted celebrities, creating a Twitter craze. Tweets tagged as #DSawards were displayed across the stage on the electronic banner and questions for host Jane Lynch to answer were welcomed.

Justin Timberlake wrapped his annual charity golf tournament with a dazzling concert on Saturday night that featured Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg, Ciara, Alicia Keys and a reformed TLC.

The concert – held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children – marks the second year that Timberlake has gathered his friends for a charity performance.
