Diddy Dirty Money Rocks Young Charity Volunteers

Diddy Dirty Money and Eliza Doolittle were two of the acts to hit the stage in London this week to reward more than 11,000 charity volunteers.

Having more than quadrupled its volunteer base in less than three years, Orange RockCorps treated its volunteers to a phenomenal one-off live concert featuring an incredible line-up, in exchange for donating just four hours of their time to charity work.

“We are happy to support Orange RockCorps,” said P. Diddy before the show on Tuesday, July 12. “Rewarding people for their hard work in the community is a great chance to connect with great people, doing great things to enrich the lives of others. DDM is really looking forward to the Wembley show”

Stars Shine For Charity At Do Something Awards

On July 19, the Hollywood Palladium was filled with more stars in one place than a usual Monday evening should for the 2010 Do Something Awards hosted by VH1 on the blue – not red, but blue – carpet.

Before the event kicked off, Melanie Stevenson from DoSomething.org streamed live and greeted celebrities, creating a Twitter craze. Tweets tagged as #DSawards were displayed across the stage on the electronic banner and questions for host Jane Lynch to answer were welcomed.

Host Jane Lynch, aka Sue Sylvester, delivered as many witty one-liners as her Glee character loves to partake in. The hilarious opening, which can be viewed on VH1 here, shows Lynch with her long list of good things to do, ending with a bang as Sue Sylvester look-alikes flooded the Palladium. Lynch then showed pictures of her very noble “acts” of public service with Mother Teresa, Lindsay Lohan, the 1929 Great Depression, and the Berlin Wall.

TLC Reform For Justin Timberlake Charity Concert

Justin Timberlake wrapped his annual charity golf tournament with a dazzling concert on Saturday night that featured Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg, Ciara, Alicia Keys and a reformed TLC.

The concert – held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children – marks the second year that Timberlake has gathered his friends for a charity performance. Last year’s show featured the Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, will.i.am, Maroon 5, 50 Cent, Boyz II Men, Esmee Denters, and Leona Lewis.

“There were a lot of acts this year that weren’t able to get here till today, so there weren’t as many collabs as I had in my brain,” Timberlake told MTV News during rehearsals. “But I think that’s always the case, it’s kind of like [when] you do an album and you write, like, 40 songs, and then 12 of them make it. … But still, just having everyone out and getting to see them do their set — there are a couple of things that have never been performed onstage. There’s a new song from [Timbaland] tonight, from his record that we did together. I think Snoop’s doing a new song from his new record. So it’s kinda cool for them too, because it’s like perfect test marketing.”

Snoop's Dogg House Up For Auction

Here’s a unique Christmas tip from Look To The Stars: Hip Hop star Snoop Dogg is auctioning off his garden shed for charity.

The 37-year-old rapper is giving his fans the chance to buy the shed that featured in the first season of his E! Network show Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood. With the second season of the show ready to roll, the shed needs an upgrade. So the Doggfather himself is sending it out the door to raise money for his Snoop Youth Football League, which he founded to keep kids active while helping them learn team building and leadership.

The shed – which has been his sanctuary for years and has hosted many of Hollywood’s and Hip Hop’s biggest stars – has been autographed on the door and walls.
