Stevie Wonder Features In Celebrity Charity Christmas Video

This holiday season, celebrities and children came together for “A Merry Christmas” music video, which features stars like Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Larry King, Ray J, Jordin Sparks, Jermaine Jackson, Mystery Guitar Man, DeStorm, Irina Slutskaya, the Bolshoi Ballet and others.

The music video is set to premiere right before Christmas on Friday, December 23rd, and you can view the teaser video on YouTube. Proceeds from single sales will benefit Bright Future International (BFI), a charitable organization that funds programs for underprivileged children around the world.

The music video begins with a little boy and girl communicating with each other from opposite sides of the world. The boy wishes the girl “A Merry Christmas” in the form of song, and despite language barriers and many miles, they are connected through this tune. The song garners attentions from children and celebrities around the world, each of them adding their own special harmony.

The VH1 Save The Music Foundation has announced its 2012 Ambassador Class, dedicated to restoring instrumental music education programs in our nation’s public schools.

“There’s so many stories that people don’t know,” Lady Gaga told MTV during her special documentary Inside the Outside. “I watched the towers fall from the roof of my school, holding all my best friends. I don’t know … just, my affinity and my love and the relationship I have with New York City — it’s like the husband I never married.”

Flight 93 National Memorial
Bill Clinton will join George W. Bush, Laura Bush and Sarah McLachlan at the September 10 dedication ceremony of the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Beginning at approximately 9:30 a.m. The memorial service will take place at the newly-opened memorial plaza surrounding the site where Flight 93 crashed at 10:03 a.m. on September 11, 2001. President Obama is expected to visit the Flight 93 National Memorial later that day.

Reality Cares Hosts The Stars For Charity During Emmy Weekend

For Angela Kinsey and Ellie Kemper, the fun doesn’t have to end when the cameras stop rolling. In true trick-or-treat fashion, the castmates from “The Office” visited NBC Studios asking for donations for DoSomething.org’s Do Something 101 supply drive.

In a partnership with DoSomething.org and Staples, Do Something 101 is an annual campaign that encourages school supplies donations that will be sent to a designated non-profit which is paired with a Staples store. The campaign began on July 4 and will end on September 18. Supplies can be dropped off at collection bins or cash donations can be made at any Staples store. With Ciara as 2009’s spokesperson and Jordin Sparks as 2008’s model, Twilight’s Nikki Reed is as energized as ever this year in Do Something 101’s PSA to get youth to host school supply drives in their community.
