For Back to School, this summer Staples and DoSomething.org partnered again to help bring school supplies to students.

The Fifth Annual Staples For Students School Supply Drive encouraged teens to help collect school supplies for their local classmates. From July 1 to September 15, teens have been collecting and donating pencils, notebooks and everything else school-friendly to Staples stores across the US, each of which has partnered up with local organizations to distribute these supplies to local kids who need them the most. The Boys & Girls Clubs of America is the major beneficiary.

Jordin Sparks Visits St. Jude Children's Hospital

Last Friday, June 22, Jordin Sparks performed her longest concert in more than a year for the patients and families at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

It is reported to have been an incredible experience for the patients, who are battling cancer and other deadly diseases, and it helped St. Jude celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Jordin performed for an hour and a half, and treated the kids to a performance of a song from the upcoming movie Sparkle, to be released in theaters August 17, 2012.

On Saturday, March 24, stars and athletes from around the country converged on the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona for Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night XVIII.

Grammy Award winning leading lady of country music Reba McEntire returned for her seventh year as emcee at the event which also celebrated Muhammad Ali’s 70th birthday. The evening opened with the singing of the National Anthem in which a rare Bald Eagle was released into the room to the surprise of the audience, followed by a performance from John Corbett.

The TJ Martell Foundation is proud to announce that it will celebrate its 13th Annual Family Day on Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 at Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

This year’s Family Day will honor multiple Grammy-award winners Train, for their tremendous support of numerous charitable causes. Train (Patrick Monahan, Jimmy Stafford, Scott Underwood) will perform an intimate acoustic set at Family Day to celebrate the release of their new record, CALIFORNIA 37, due out on April 17th, which follows the band’s multi-platinum 2009 release SAVE ME, SAN FRANCISCO.

Perez Hilton To Host One Night In Austin For Charity

The VH1 Save The Music Foundation has been selected as the benefitting charity of Perez Hilton's “One Night in Austin” event at South By South West on March 17, 2012.

Returning to Austin for the fifth consecutive year, this legendary series, produced by The BMF Media Group, will feature performances and DJ sets by an array of today’s top artists (to be announced the weeks leading up to the show). There are a limited number of tickets available and can be purchased at $25 (General Admission) and/or $50 (VIP) at www.vh1savethemusic.com/perez.

100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation and its mission to restore instrumental music education programs in our nation’s public schools. In conjunction with the event, VH1 will donate $1 to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation throughout the month of March for each check in on Foursquare at any music venue across the country. With each check in, participating individuals will receive the exclusive “VH1 Save The Music” badge. Through these combined efforts, the Foundation can receive up to $50,000 in donations, enough to restore a complete music education program.
