The National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund’s (NBCC) enticing 11th Les Girls event takes place Monday, October 17, 2011 in Hollywood.

Hosted by Julie Bowen [Modern Family] and directed by Jason Alexander [Seinfeld], the event is expected to attract a host of celebrities, including Brian Batt [Mad Men], Laura Bell Bundy, Sarah Chalke [Mad Love], Katie Finneran [I Hate My Teenage Daughter], Kate Flannery [The Office,], Peri Gilpin [Make It Or Break It], Melora Hardin [The Office], Jane Leeves [Hot in Cleveland], Arleen Sorkin, Marcia Strassman, Gina Torres, Steven Weber, Marissa Jaret Winokur and many others.

The show is an irreverent and wickedly funny cabaret—a great evening of entertainment made possible by the donated performances of some of Hollywood’s top personalities. Les Girls continues to raise funds to benefit the National Breast Cancer Coalition, which works to increase funding for breast cancer research and make sure that low income and uninsured women have access to treatment. Celebrity Guests To Attend A Charity Evening For Autism

A host of celebrity guests will be out-and-about in Newport Beach on June 11 for An Evening For Autism.

Ali Landry, Karina Smirnoff, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Elisabeth Rohm, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, Camille Grammar, Max Ryan, Tinsel Korey and Brandi Glanville are just some of the well known faces scheduled to attend the event.

This tropical-themed event celebrates its 3rd year. The event was co-hosted by Ali Landry and Yum! Brands. Other celebs at the event included Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, Ally Walker, Marissa Jaret Winokur and The Guncles.

One thing that I was very clear on that day is that most of the celebrities (if not ALL of them) came out that day because Ali personally invited them. We’re inspired by her commitment to amazing causes from world hunger to child safety, and her willingness to ask her friends to come and support her and her causes. She’s also very real and encourages “everyday Americans” to stand where they are… and just get involved.

What brought you out today?

My sister-in-law told me about the day, and my friend Ali (Landry) had sent me an email a long time ago asking me to support this. As friends you like to support each other’s causes and this is a really good one. I do a lot of stuff on my own but I still try to be really good about showing up when my friends ask me to “come, come!”

On Tuesday November 16, 2010, I had the pleasure of joining Ali Landry and Yum! Brands as they co-hosted their first LA Area WE CAN Community-wide Food Drive benefiting the Burbank Temporary Aid Center and the Burbank Boys’ and Girls’ Club.

Ali and volunteers – including celebrity parents Adrienne Maloof-Nassif (“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”), Marissa Jaret Winokur (“The Talk”), Ally Walker (“Sons of Anarchy”), and Bill Horn and Scout Masterson (the “Guncles” from “Home Sweet Hollywood”) – greeted contributors curbside to collect their canned good contributions to benefit the Burbank Temporary Aid Center.

In addition to hosting the WE CAN Food Drive, Ali and her celebrity friends served the children and staff members of the Boys & Girls Clubs a pre-Thanksgiving KFC dinner complete with KFC’s world famous chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn and biscuits. In fact, when I asked the celebrities why they came out to support this cause, many cited the fact that Ali had asked them. Of course, they were engaged by the cause but it really helped to have that personal touch from Ali herself. I had the pleasure of talking with many of the stars involved, and the interviews will feature on LookToTheStars.org over the next few days.

A host of celebrities attended the 5th annual Denim and Diamonds for Autism event hosted by ACT Today! (Autism Care and Treatment Today) on Saturday, October 23, in Hidden Hills, California.

ACT Today! is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to provide resources and support for children with autism, whose families cannot afford the necessary tools their child needs to reach their highest potential or live a productive life.

The event included an outdoor cocktail hour, dinner buffet, fashion show, silent & live auction, and live entertainment. Among the stars who attended were Bones’ David Boreanaz, George Clinton (Singer/“Father of Funk”), Grammy-winning artist Macy Gray, actor Max Ryan (“Sex and the City:2”), Adrienne Maloof-Nassif (“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”), Marcus Allen (Super Bowl Champion/TV Personality), Wilmer Valderrama (“That 70’s Show”), Brandi Cyrus (Singer/Actor), Greg Grunberg (Actor, “Heroes”), Tom Bergeron (Host, “Dancing With the Stars”), Marla Maples, Marissa Jaret Winokur, corporate and community leaders, parents of children with autism, and other supporters.

Stand Up To Cancer will return to primetime TV on September 10, 2010, at 8PM EST & PST / 7PM CT. Stars Go Quackers Over Charity Auction

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to mark the occasion, Munchkin Inc – designer and manufacturer of infant and toddler products – has announced it will auction celebrity-decorated pink bath duckies on eBay as part of its 3rd Annual Project Pink campaign.

Celebrities such as as Julianne Moore, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, Cindy Crawford, Tori Spelling, Bob Saget, Steven Weber, Jaclyn Smith, Sela Ward, Marissa Jaret Winokur and many more have donated hand-decorated and autographed limited edition pink ducks to the auction, which can be accessed through eBay. Each celebrity duck will be auctioned for a one-week period in the month of October and all auction proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

“I love Munchkin’s Project Pink,” said Winokur. “These really cute pink bath duckies will help remind women to schedule routine breast exams, while also raising money to support research for a cure. And that’s something to quack about!”

Celebrity moms Ashlee Simpson, Tori Spelling, Angie Harmon and Marissa Jaret Winokur are designing one-of-a-kind Maclaren strollers for the Celebrity Mom “Style My Stroller” Campaign to benefit the CJ Foundation for SIDS.

The CJ Foundation is the leading organization in the US dedicated to raising awareness, funding research and offering support services to families impacted by Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The online auction will be held from October 6 to October 13, 2008, to coincide with SIDS Awareness Month.
