Muhammad Ali’s annual celebrity charity Fight Night is to return to Arizona this month.

Celebrity Fight Night XVII will be hosted by Grammy Award-winning superstar of country music Reba McEntire, who is returning for her sixth time as emcee. The black tie event will begin with cocktails and a silent auction with dinner, an exciting live auction and entertainment to follow. Steve Martin, Don Cheadle and Jordin Sparks are set to raise some funds while raising the stakes at the first annual Texas Hold’em poker tournament “Raise Your Hand for Africa”.

Stars from the gridiron, poker world, Hollywood and the music industry will put their cards on the table February 18 and 19, 2011 at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.

Benefitting from the tournament are PROS FOR AFRICA, a non-profit relief organization providing basic needs to the children of Africa and Starkey Hearing Foundation, which is dedicated to building better lives for the hearing impaired by providing hearing instruments to those in need. A huge number of stars and famous faces will hit the golf course in next month as part of the BMW Charity Pro-Am tournament.

The 2010 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation will be played Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 16 at South Carolina’s Bright’s Creek Golf Club, The Carolina Country Club and Thornblade Club. Among the 28 celebrities confirmed to tee off are former Eagles guitarist Don Felder, Catherine Bell, Samuel L. Jackson, Dr. Phil McGraw, Dennis Quaid, Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney, Kurt Russell, Kevin Sorbo, Luke Wilson and many others.

The BMW Charity Pro-Am is the only tournament on the Nationwide Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Nationwide Tour professionals in a four-day better-ball competition over three courses. Amateurs, celebrities and pros rotate between three courses on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the 14 lowest scoring pro-amateur/pro-celebrity teams advancing to play Sunday’s final round at Thornblade Club. Bill Murray To Host Annual Caddyshack Charity Golf Tournament

On March 25 and 26, the Murray Bros are hosting the 10th Annual Murray Bros. Caddyshack Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida, where the Murray Bros. Caddyshack restaurant is located.

Outside of the golf tournament, dinners and lunches will be served on both days. A silent auction will be held on Friday along with the pairings draw party. Actor Bill Murray is once again behind the annual Murray Brothers Caddyshack Charity Golf Tournament, this year to raise money for Guardian Catholic Schools – a non-profit organization located in Jacksonville, Florida.

Bill Murray and his five brothers – Andy, Brian, Ed, Joel, and John – began the annual tournament eight years ago at the launching of their Caddyshack Restaurant at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida. Since then they have raised millions of dollars for charity.

An avid golfer, Murray worked alongside his brothers as a caddy to fund his high school tuition. Many of their antics showed up later in the Caddyshack movie.

Back in 1973, David Mirisch was way ahead of the curve. As founder of Hollywood Knights International, he is credited with being the first (or at least most important) person to pair celebrities with fundraising, producing some of the first consecutive tennis and golf charity tournaments in Hollywood.

Actor Kevin Sorbo continues to make this ‘a world fit for kids’ after hosting the first annual Kevin Sorbo Celebrity Golf Tournament last month at Dragon Ridge Country Club outside of Las Vegas.

The successful event raised funds for Sorbo’s charity, A World Fit For Kids!, which is the leading nonprofit provider of after-school physical activity and youth leadership programs in California.

Several singers, athletes and celebrities including Julius Erving “Dr. J”, Jim McMahon, Meat Loaf, and Ed “Too Tall” Jones were scheduled to play in the tournament. Most – if not all – players were in attendance for the pairings party held Planet Hollywood.
