Puss In Boots Stars Launch Purr-fect Charity Auction

DreamWorks Animation has announced that the stars of their upcoming film Puss In Boots have participated in a purrr-fect promotion whereby one-of-a-kind, personally decorated Frye boots will be auctioned on eBay, with the proceeds to benefit Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C).

Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis and Billy Bob Thornton using their own creativity, have each personally decorated a pair of Frye Harness boots with art supplies donated by Plaid Enterprises.

“I welcomed the opportunity to design a pair of boots that I know Puss would be proud of,” said Antonio Banderas. “He is hard to please, but I think he will eventually need a new pair.”

Cher Attends Kat Kramer's Films That Change The World‏

As reported earlier this week on LookToTheStars.org, the third installment of Kat Kramer’s Films That Change the World featured the world premiere of the documentary “Elephants and Man: A Litany of Tragedy” at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood on Thursday, January 20.

The film, executive produced by Melya Kaplan and directed by Jacek Kropinski, chronicles the history of elephants in captivity. Kaplan, founder of the nonprofit Voice for the Animals Foundation, contends that zoos and circuses are not capable of properly caring for elephants due to their size and their need for vast amounts of space in which to roam. Many celebrities have joined Kaplan in a campaign to persuade zoos to close elephant exhibits and transfer the pachyderms to larger sanctuaries.

Billy Bob Thornton To The Rescue For Animals

Following a successful show in California last week, the Animal Rescue Foundation is proud to announce its next Stars To The Rescue concert will take place in Missouri on January 15.

Scheduled to appear for this fabulous evening of music and entertainment are country music stars Easton Corbin and David Nail, actor/singer Billy Bob Thornton with his band the Boxmasters, Phantom of the Opera’s Tim Martin Gleason, actor-impressionist Kevin Pollak, St. Louis favorite Kim Massie and rock band Story of the Year.

The charity was created in 1991 by Tony and Elaine La Russa to address the needs of companion animals. ARF saves dogs and cats who have run out of time at public shelters and brings people and animals together to enrich each others lives. ARF strives to create a world where every loving dog and cat has a home, where every lonely person has a companion animal, and where children learn to care.

Billy Bob Thornton Sings To Raise Awareness Of STDs

Billy Bob Thornton has penned a song about venereal disease because “there aren’t enough songs warning about the dangers of sexually-transmitted diseases.”

The actor, who performs with modbilly band The Boxmasters, will include a song raising awareness of safe sex on his next CD.

“On the next record… we actually have a song coming out about venereal disease, which I think needs to be talked about, and it’s a song called It Only Hurts When I Pee.”
