Stars To Bowl In Their PJs For Charity

Actor Jason Gedrick will host a charity bowling night with a difference on Saturday, February 13.

In association with the Carol M. Baldwin Cancer Research Fund, celebrities such as Daniel and Stephen Baldwin, Joe Mantegna, Gilles Marini and others will converge on the Pinz Bowling Center on Ventura Blvd for a night of “Pajama bowling”.

Wearing nothing but their PJ’s and nighties, the guests will spend the night bowling after dark to benefit charity. The Carol M. Baldwin Cancer Research Fund was set up by the Baldwin brothers after their mother after she underwent a double mastectomy in 1996. The 70-year-old turned her tragedy into courage to assist other women who are affected by breast cancer, and the Fund, which has raised over $2.6 million since its inception, donates money to researchers investigating the causes, prevention, and treatment of the disease. Both William Baldwin and his brother, Alec Baldwin, sit on the board of the Fund.

Celebrities Are All In To Win For The Kids

A host of celebrities will hit the poker tables on Saturday for the second annual All In To Win For The Kids charity poker tournament to benefit TLC for the Blind and Love Across The Ocean.

Some of the famous faces expected to attend the event include Brad Garrett, Denis Haysbert, Ray Wise, Kim Coles, Daniel Baldwin, Donnie Walhberg and many others.

The tournament takes place at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles at 4pm on January 9, with a first prize of $5000 and a seat in the 2010 WPT Celebrity Invitational.

Celebrities Play Poker For The Blind

A host of celebs and famous faces will converge on Commerce Casino in California next week to take part in a special charity poker tournament for the blind.

All In To Win will feature appearances by Brad Garrett, Judd Nelson, Daniel Baldwin, Adam Baldwin, Jimmy Van Patten, Kim Coles, Patrick Warburton, Chris McDonald, Dick Van Patten, Matt Borlenghi and Ray Wise. The grand prize for the event includes a seat at the World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational and $2,500 in cash. Proceeds will go to TLC for the Blind.

Founded 30 years ago, Therapeutic Living Centers for the Blind (TLC) is a community of learners and teachers who have come together in California to create a supportive and encouraging environment for those with developmental disabilities and blindness. More than a facility, TLC represents a family working together to support each individual in order to develop his or her unique strengths.

Jon Voight and Charles Durning are two of the expected celebrities for The California Disabled Veteran Business Alliance’s Annual Salute to Veterans Day Breakfast.

The event, taking place on Friday, November 7, in Los Angeles, will honor 200 Vietnam vets, 100 active duty soldiers -just back from Iraq and Afghanistan – and 100 disabled vets of all wars.

Business and community leaders, including many celebrity veterans will be in attendance. Maxim Model Plays Charity Poker

Christina Lindley is best known for her steamy photos in Maxim Magazine, but she’s also a professional poker player who is excited to be taking part in a No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament for charity on May 31 at the Hawaiian Gardens in LA benefiting Last Chance For Africa and Mentors For Youth.

“I’m really excited to be brought in on this,” Lindley told Gambling911.com’s Jenny Woo. “It’s for two great charities. It’ll be a red carpet event along with a green room. We’re playing an actual full tournament and the best part is that the winnings go to the charity.”

Lindley spoke enthusiastically about the charities involved, “Mentors for Youth was started by a police officer here in LA and is a mentoring program for troubled and underprivileged children. I think that’s really important especially in LA and our country. There’s a deficit of male and female role models. The other charity is Last Chance for Africa – they’re actually building an orphanage in Africa for children. They’re accumulating land and building on it so the whole thing can be a self-sustaining deal for the kids there. That’s what’s great about the website!
