The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights launched its 6th Annual Spring Auction today with support from more than 100 of the world’s most recognizable figures spanning business, entertainment, sports, and politics.

Tim Cook, Francis Ford Coppola, Robert De Niro, Alex Trebek, Carrie Underwood and Peyton Manning are just a few of iconic figures hitting the online auction block to benefit the RFK Center and its partner organization, RFK Europe. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the generous consumers and partners who supported the ninth annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign have something to celebrate this year, raising more than $72 million in support of the organization’s mission of finding cures and saving children battling cancer and other deadly diseases.

The annual holiday campaign’s results represent a projected increase of nearly 14 percent over the previous year, boosted by record-breaking fundraising by its world-class corporate partners, unprecedented levels of online engagement and donations, and a sharp rise in contributions from Hispanic donors. The campaign has now raised more than $380 million for St. Jude since its inception.

St. Jude Thanks and Giving corporate partners, which include more than 60 of America’s leading companies and brands, raised more than $60 million this year, an increase of more than 12 percent from last year. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) – the largest food bank in the state – has been working to feed those who might otherwise go without food, including families, seniors and children. The FoodBank, however, has experienced two-to-three times the need for help. Working in concert with their respective foursome of amateur golfers, Griffey, Jr. shot a 19-under par 53 in the first round of the celeb-am Thursday, while Wright’s team shot a sensational 22-under par 50 during Friday’s second round. Griffey, Jr.‘s team tied host Michael Jordan’s foursome but earned the win via tiebreaker.
