Rachael Ray To Host Celebrity Charity Cook-Off

Two of Food Network’s biggest icons, Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri, will square off against each other for culinary bragging rights in Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off, premiering Sunday, January 1st at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

In this six-episode competition series, the Emmy-winning talk show host Rachael Ray and best-selling cookbook author and successful restaurateur Guy Fieri, will each serve as coaches and mentors to eight multi-talented celebrities, all of whom are passionate about food and cooking. Divided into ‘Team Rachael’ and ‘Team Guy’, each episode features celebrity contestants battling it out in a fun, fast-paced culinary fight-to-the-finish, with the two bottom-rated contestants from the losing team going head-to-head in a blind tasting elimination challenge. In the end, the last contestant standing is crowned king or queen of the Celebrity Cook- Off and wins $50,000 for the charity they are playing to support.

“Rachael vs. Guy is the most exciting, funny and suspenseful piece of television I have ever made. This show is true reality television; no staging, no tricks and no do-overs,” said Rachael Ray. “These contestants bonded with each other making the drama of the competition even more thrilling and intense. Joan Jett To Headline Celebrity Charity Race To Erase MS

Joan Jett and The Blackhearts will headline the 18th annual Race To Erase MS on Friday, April 29, with Nicky and Paris Hilton scheduled to be among the guests.

The annual event raises money for the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis. This year’s event will be hosted by Nancy Davis and Tommy Hilfiger, with guests including Ed Begley Jr., Brooke Burke, Tia Carrere, Aaron Carter, Kristin Cavallari, Joan Collins, Holly Marie Combs, David Faustino, Daisy Fuentes, Greg Grunberg, Melissa Joan Hart, Anne Heche, Jon Lovitz, Shaun Robinson, Raven Symone and many more.

Co-Chairs Nancy Davis and Tommy Hilfiger welcome celebrity guests to the 18th Anniversary of Race to Erase MS themed Rock and Royalty. The event will feature live musical performances by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Clay Walker and more to be announced. Race to Erase MS will once again host an exciting celebrity fashion show featuring a sneak preview of Andrew Charles, the new fashion line by Andy Hilfiger, and feature a live auction called by Shaun Robinson and Mark Curry. Katie Mattingly Brass and William O. “Bill” Perkins will be honored at this year’s event.

Los Angeles families are dusting off their Halloween costumes and gearing up for one of LA’s biggest family Halloween events, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times’ 18th Annual Halloween Carnival presented by JAKKS Cares, the philanthropic arm of JAKKS Pacific, Inc.

The Carnival, which raises money for Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, has grown exponentially over the last 17 years, raising more than $7 million through ticket sales for this annual event.

Look To The Stars’ Delinda Lombado recently got the chance to talk to the CEO of Hollywood Knights International, whose celebrity basketball team is a leader in charity fundraising.

Back in 1973, David Mirisch was way ahead of the curve. As founder of Hollywood Knights International, he is credited with being the first (or at least most important) person to pair celebrities with fundraising, producing some of the first consecutive tennis and golf charity tournaments in Hollywood.

Now headed by David’s son Michael (who took the reins as CEO in 1992), Hollywood Knights International are still going strong and its Celebrity Basketball Team has become a symbol for fundraising world-wide.

Join Bart Simpson And Friends For Children's Day

The voice of Bart Simpson, Nancy Cartwright, will be one of the attendees of the first annual San Fernando Valley Children’s Day event this Saturday, November 22.

Hosted by NBC’s Fritz Coleman, the day will feature a whole heap of fun and games like face painting, a space museum, a petting zoo, rock climbing, a pro skateboarding demonstration, and members of the LA Galaxy soccer team will be on hand for a special David Beckham Soccer Academy. There will also be live entertainment from Aaron Carter, and an appearance by Laker great AC Green.

Children’s Day is celebrated in many countries, but the biggest and grandest celebration is in Turkey, where an International Children’s Day was established in 1935, and now every April sees children from all over the world come to Turkey for a week of celebrations and festivities. Many of the events are broadcast on Turkish TV, showing the children in their traditional national clothing as they sing and dance. Then, to cap it off, on April 23rd the seats of Parliament are held by children, and a child even becomes President for the day, delivering a speech on national TV!

The Hollywood Knights celebrity basketball team has arrived in Norway to raise money for children with cancer.

Pop star Aaron Carter will head a spectacular lineup of stars on the court at Haukelandshallen Arena in Bergen for the 2nd annual Hollywood Knights Celebrity Charity Basketball Game. Joining him against a dream team of Norwegian celebrities for an unforgettable game to raise money for charity will be Desperate Housewives’ Andrea Bowen, Joy Lauren and Josh Henderson, as well as Stephen Colletti (Laguna Beach, One Tree Hill_), Paula Trickey (_Pacific Blue, The O.C.), model Marcus Schenckenberg, Wesley Jonathan (What I Like About You_), Adrian R’Mante (_The Suite Life of Zack and Cody), Kyle Lowder (Days of Our Lives, The Bold and the Beautiful_), Blake Lewis (American Idol_), Chris Richardson (American Idol_), Adam Sevani (Step Up 2: The Streets_), Jon Chu (Step Up 2: The Streets) and Denyce Lawton (Tyler Perry’s House of Payne).

The game – which takes place on August 14 – will raise funds for the Norwegian Cancer Society Children’s Ward, a non-profit organization working to reduce the incidence of cancer, and to provide cancer patient services, research, prevention programs and advocacy.
