Nick is a member of Death Cab for Cutie.
Harmer has lent money to small business owners through Kiva, and speaks highly of the experience.
He told Look to the Stars, “I’ve been doing that for a while. It’s been actually really great. I’ve been paid back for every loan I’ve lent out. It’s awesome to have the one-on-one connection with a business owner. It’s really personal. It’s not, like, [you] give your money to some faceless organization. It’s a really fun thing to be involved with.”
Nick has taught at 826 Valencia, an organization which helps children ages 6-18 develop their writing skills.
