Now in its 15th year, the annual Nordoff Robbins Christmas Carol Service is one of the most popular events on the fundraising calendar, bringing together family, friends and supporters in a celebration of music at a special time of year.

This year’s event, which is generously sponsored by Coutts, will take place in the beautiful St Luke’s Church in London on Wednesday 14th December and will be dedicated to Willie Robertson, founding supporter of Nordoff Robbins.

Stars Join Virtual March Against Bullying

To mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week 2012, UK charity BeatBullying is mobilising hundreds of thousands of young people from around the world, together with celebrities, politicians, charities, businesses and communities to launch The Big March 2012, the world’s first global virtual march for children’s rights.

Beatbullying is calling for people around the world to support The Big March 2012, which will take place on 1st March 2012: from Manchester to Mumbai, from Naples to New Orleans, from Jerusalem to Johannesburg, and from Budapest to Brasilia.

Predicted to last up to two days, the march will culminate with the delivery of a petition to the United Nations Building in New York; asking the United Nations to explicitly enshrine ‘bullying’ in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). This will help to protect children all over the world from the pain and distress of bullying and harassment. If successful, it will be the first time that the Convention has been updated in over 10 years.

Katherine Jenkins To Join Placido Domingo For Charity In New Zealand

Welsh singing star Katherine Jenkins is to join tenor Placido Domingo when he performs a special charity show in New Zealand in October.

The stars will hit the stage for two Christchurch charitable organizations that were affected by the massive earthquake that devastated the city in February.

Placido Domingo has his own understanding of earthquakes through the loss of four family members in the 1985 Mexican earthquake and has been honoured in America for lifetime achievement in expanding the audience for opera and helping those less fortunate round the world.

Celebrities Help Clean Up After UK Riots

Simon Cowell has donated £50,000 to a fund for those affected by the U.K. riots this week, joining other stars such as Wayne Rooney, Katherine Jenkins, Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson, Dragons Den star Duncan Bannatyne and many others in making financial commitments to reclaiming the streets of Britain.

“What happened has left behind thousands of innocent victims people whose businesses and homes have been attacked.,” said Wayne Rooney. “We all depend on the shops and small businesses in our communities. Its great that the Daily and Sunday Express is doing something to really help those whose livelihoods have suffered. They are people who work really hard for what they have and they deserve everyone’s support and protection. Coleen and I are delighted to open the fund by making the first donation to it.”

The stars have pledged their support to a campaign established by The Daily Express – Reclaim Our Streets – which has also garnered the support of Prime Minister David Cameron, TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp and television chef Antony Worrall Thompson.

Stars Design Candle Holders For Celebrity Charity Auction

Some of Britain’s favorite celebrities auction have personally designed candle holders to raise awareness of the race for a cure for Parkinson’s.

Stephen Fry, Ricky Gervais, Alesha Dixon, Kevin McCloud and a host of other celebrities have pledged their support for finding a cure for Parkinson’s by designing their own candle holders which are being auctioned off in support of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust’s ILLUMINATE campaign.

The 34 specially designed candle holders will be auctioned on eBay for 10 days starting 7pm on 22nd FEBRUARY 2011. You are invited to bid for your favourite celebrity’s candle holder on eBay all in the name of an exceptionally worthy cause. The entire collection of designs is also available in a lovely book.

JustGiving.com Announces Top Celebrity Charity Fundraisers

JustGiving.com has released the results of a survey into the top celebrity fundraisers in the UK.

Adventurer Sir Ranulph Fiennes – who has raised over £2.5 million for Marie Curie Cancer Care over the past two years – came out in top place in the report. Other stars to feature include Little Britain star David Walliams and his wife, Lara Stone, as well as singer Katherine Jenkins, rugby star Lawrence Dallaglio and Dragon’s Den star Peter Jones.

The survey is based on an analysis of total funds raised from January 2009 to December 2010.

Robbie Williams Helps Heroes At Charity Concert

Take That stars Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow reunited on stage for charity in the UK during the weekend.

The pair performed their new single, Shame, in front of 60,000 people – including Prince Harry – at the massive Help for Heroes concert at Twickenham on September 12.

The stars were joined by Tom Jones, James Blunt, Enrique Iglesias, Alexandra Burke, Pixie Lott, Plan B and The Saturdays. The show was hosted by the best of the UK’s comedy talent – John Bishop, Kevin Bridges, Jack Dee, Jason Manford and Michael McIntyre – with a special guest appearance from Bruce Forsyth. Other acts who performed included Katherine Jenkins with Spelbound, Alesha Dixon and The Wanted. The concert was shown on BBC 1 and the coverage was presented by Cat Deeley.

More Stars Lend Help For Heroes At Charity Concert

More stars have been added to the lineup of the Help for Heroes charity concert being headlined by Robbie Williams at Twickenham Stadium on September 12.

A host of stars have donated their own very special artworks to an auction and exhibition to benefit a hospice in the UK.

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has joined with Coldplay, Jenson Button, David Coulthard, Julian Clary, Katherine Jenkins, Fearne Cotton, Elaine Paige and many others in creating butterfly-inspired paintings to raise money for charity.

The paintings will be on display at the Stockwood Discovery Centre in Luton from 1-29 March. The paintings will then be auctioned on eBay between March 19-28.

Welsh singing sensation Katherine Jenkins has been busy with charity projects lately.

Last week she was spotted at the Macmillan Cancer Support De’Longhi Art Auction, following the announcement that the charity is hoping to name her as an ambassador.

“Macmillan looked after us when my father was ill, so I always sing or do something special for their events,” she said. “I bought the first painting at the auction for £1,800 because the charity is so special to me.”

The Stars Come Out For Tilly

A host of stars were out in the weekend to support a young British girl who contracted Meningococcal Septicaemia as a baby and lost her hands as a result.

Last year, Look To The Stars brought you the story of Tilly Lockey, who contracted a deadly form of flesh-eating meningitis for which there is no vaccination. It was every mother’s nightmare, and for four weeks Tilly fought back in intensive care. After ten blood transfusions later she was finally pronounced out of danger. Unfortunately her hands and toes were already dead, and had to be removed.

Tilly recently received her first set of prosthetic hands. According to her parents, “these need to be replaced as she grows, consultants have told us that they will need to be changed a minimum of once every year if not twice up until she is 18 years old! We received the invoice for the hands and they are costing £23,464.00 a pair. Therefore if we need to have a target of raising approx £800,000.00 to cover the costs up until Tilly is 18 years old.”

Katherine Jenkins To Run For Kidney Charity

Opera star Katherine Jenkins is to take part in a fun run for charity in Wales.

The singer is patron of Kidney Wales and will run in this year’s HSBC Cardiff 10K starting at the SWALEC Stadium on September 6.

The event will raise money for children affected by kidney cancer and renal failure at the Kidney Wales Children’s Unit in Cardiff.

A car signed by some of Britain’s favorite stars will go up for auction at Bonhams Auction House tonight, July 3, to raise money for the British Forces Foundation’s Lap of Honour charity, which aims to boost morale in Britiain’s Armed Forces.

A Mini is being driven around the UK in support of the British Forces Foundation, collecting the signatures of 50 top British celebrities.

The car began its 10-month-long “Lap of Honour” journey on June 11, with an inaugural signature from opera star Katherine Jenkins, and has so far collected further signatures from Hugh Grant, Michael Caine, author Frederick Forsyth, Dame Judi Dench and James Blunt.
