A selection of movie posters signed by the original stars is up for sale on eBay to raise money for charity.

Stars To Donate Fees To Heath Ledger's Daughter

The three actors who replaced Heath Ledger in his final film are to donate their fees to the late star’s daughter.

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law replaced the late actor in scenes for Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus after filming was suspended when Ledger was found dead in his New York City apartment in January. In the film, which is slated for a 2009 release, Ledger must visit three different dimensions through a paranormal mirror in a bid to rescue the daughter of a traveling showman who sold his child to the devil in exchange for everlasting life. And although Ledger’s completed scenes will be included in the film, Law, Depp and Farrell will also appear in place of the actor in scenes that had not been shot.

“The great thing about it was when Heath died those three actors came along and saved the day. It’s now four actors creating one character,” said Gilliam. “The three actors were totally heroic coming in because this doesn’t happen very often, where there is a tragedy and very famous and successful actors come in and say OK we’ll do whatever it takes to help. To be part of that is wonderful. They didn’t take money – it goes to Heath’s daughter.”

Stars Take A Gamble At Charity Poker Tournament

Look To The Stars reporter Delinda Lombardo recently attended the star-studded World Poker Tour Invitational in Los Angeles and caught up with some of the celebrities involved.

On March 1-3, celebrities and poker professionals hit the felt for the 6th Annual World Poker Tour Invitational at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles. More than 100 celebrities were invited to compete for a seat in the WPT Championships while raising money for charity, including a side pot worth nearly $30,000 that went entirely to charity in the names of the final 13 celebrities in the field. The three title charities of the event, guaranteed to receive at least $2,500 each, were Soles United, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and Harbor Private Funds.

Poker professionals, including Phil Laak, Shawn Sheikhan, Allen Kessler, Kathy Liebert, Jennifer Tilly, Billy Baxter, David Pham, Kenny Tran, and Antonio Esfandiari (who was just named the official spokesperson for the WPT) flocked to the highly successful event, which is now in its sixth year.

Young actress Elissa Sursara is mourning the death of a close friend this week, following the passing of actor Heath Ledger.

The starlet, whose charitable campaigns include Greenpeace International’s Save The Whales and The Great Ape Project, has not yet released a public statement to the media regarding the tragic loss. Sources reveal her plans to travel to Africa with a non-profit environmental group will not be canceled – according to the group’s travel documents, the trip was to be taken with Ledger.

“She’s been struck down by this loss,” revealed a friend of the actress. “Someone she loved, and who loved her, has left this earth in such a sudden and uncertain fashion – it’s a hard thing for anybody to come to terms with. Elissa has been through a lot in her life, but she is not emotionally strong. She is a sensitive and passionate person, and her best friend will be sadly missed. Elissa has no plans to postpone her work or her charity work – if anything, pushing on will help her to move on, something Heath would have wanted for her.”
