Best known as the author of The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown donated $2.2 million to the Phillips Exeter Academy to set up the “Richard G. Brown Technology Endowment” in honor of his father in 2004. The fund aims to help “provide computers and high-tech equipment for students in need.”
