  <description>Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress Camryn Manheim will return as host of the annual Children&amp;#8217;s Institute, Inc celebrity charity poker tournament this weekend.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Expected to attend the event are Wedil David, Ken Davitian, Tony Denison, Willie Garson, Erik Pallidino, Mimi Rogers, Sara Rue, Grant Show and many others.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Children&amp;#8217;s Institute, Inc. helps children who have been affected by violence in their homes or communities. Since 1906, &lt;span class="caps"&gt;CII&lt;/span&gt; has served at-risk children and families in some of Los Angeles&amp;#8217; most devastated neighborhoods. &lt;span class="caps"&gt;CII&lt;/span&gt; provides healing and support so that traumatized children can recover and lead healthy lives.   <description>Nancy Cartwright, the iconic voice of Bart Simpson and Honorary Mayor of the North Valley, is hosting the 6th Annual Happy House Poker Tournament and &lt;span class="caps"&gt;BBQ&lt;/span&gt; at her Northridge home on May 28.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;All proceeds will go towards Happy House, a non-profit corporation, and the Happy House Good Choices Program.   <title>Join Bart Simpson And Friends For Children's Day</title>
  <description>The voice of Bart Simpson, Nancy Cartwright, will be one of the attendees of the first annual San Fernando Valley Children&amp;#8217;s Day event this Saturday, November 22.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hosted by NBC&amp;#8217;s Fritz Coleman, the day will feature a whole heap of fun and games like face painting, a space museum, a petting zoo, rock climbing, a pro skateboarding demonstration, and members of the LA Galaxy soccer team will be on hand for a special David Beckham Soccer Academy. There will also be live entertainment from Aaron Carter, and an appearance by Laker great AC Green.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Children&amp;#8217;s Day is celebrated in many countries, but the biggest and grandest celebration is in Turkey, where an International Children&amp;#8217;s Day was established in 1935, and now every April sees children from all over the world come to Turkey for a week of celebrations and festivities. Many of the events are broadcast on Turkish TV, showing the children in their traditional national clothing as they sing and dance. Then, to cap it off, on April 23rd the seats of Parliament are held by children, and a child even becomes President for the day, delivering a speech on national TV!

&lt;p&gt;The tournament – which takes place this Saturday, September 20, at Cartwright&amp;#8217;s home in Los Angeles – will feature appearances by Brad Garrett, John Travolta, Camryn Manheim, Sinbad, Tom Kenny, Mickey Dolenz, and Kirstie Alley. All profits from the event will go to Devonshire &lt;span class="caps"&gt;PALS&lt;/span&gt;, an organization committed to a partnership between youth, the Devonshire &lt;span class="caps"&gt;LAPD&lt;/span&gt;, and the community. Poker tournaments held over the last two years have helped to raise the funds needed to build a new Youth Center for at-risk kids.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Jamie Gold, 2006 &lt;span class="caps"&gt;WSOP&lt;/span&gt; Main Event Champion, has signed on to Chair the Poker Committee, and poker pros expected to attend include Mary Jones, Jennifer Harman, Men &amp;#8220;The Master&amp;#8221; Nguyen, Marco Traniello, Todd Brunson, Sammy Farha, Kenna James, Kristi Gazes and many more.
