Former Pussycat Doll, Got to Dance judge and BM Beauty Cosmetics founder Kimberly Wyatt, has traded in her glamour for gore in a brand-new PETA ad campaign urging the European Commission not to postpone the 2013 deadline for banning the sale of all cosmetics containing ingredients tested on animals.

In the ad, which reads, “Animal-Tested Cosmetics: The Ugly Side of Beauty. Don’t Postpone the EU Ban”, Wyatt’s mouth and bloodshot eyes are encrusted with “sores” in imitation of the sickening – and often deadly – effects of chemical testing on animals.

The pop star, inspired by her aunt who suffers from Down syndrome, hopes to team up with Los Angeles radio personality Todd Michael Krim to give disabled kids and Down syndrome youngsters a special place to sing and learn to play instruments.

Scherzinger says, “I grew up with my aunt, who is actually younger than me because my grandmother had her at an older age, and she has Down syndrome. She has always had a special place in my heart and is such a wonderful addition to our family, so when Todd asked me if I was passionate about any charities or causes, I immediately thought of her.”

Stars To Wash The Feet Of The Homeless This Easter

The Los Angeles Mission will make a difference for the homeless this Easter – with a little help from celebrity friends.

The Mission will serve 3,000 meals, provide Easter baskets with toys for children, and wash the feet of the homeless on Good Friday. Why feet washing? Easter Week foot washing is a Christian tradition – memorializing that Jesus washed the feet of his disciples the night before he was crucified. Many who are on the streets seldom have normal loving human contact – and this outreach of food, foot washing with podiatric care and new shoes is a way of inviting them to learn about the Mission’s services, including its long term program of restoration – in order to get off the streets permanently. The Los Angeles Christian Health Center uses this opportunity to address the foot problems suffered by many on the streets of Skid Row.

Stars Sign Hardhats For Charity Auction

Habitat For Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has launched an online auction at Clothes Off Our Back featuring hardhats signed by celebrity volunteers and supporters of Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity.

The hardhats are signed and decorated by music, television and film stars including: Green Day, Ricky Martin, Linkin Park, U2, Justin Timberlake, The Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Wonder and many more. The auction will run through March 6 with 100% of the proceeds helping to build more affordable homes in Greater Los Angeles.

“Through our non-profit organization, Music for Relief, and our ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity we have had the opportunity to not only sponsor homes, but also to go and build the houses ourselves, and to meet the families that were moving into them," said Dave “Phoenix” Farrell of Linkin Park. “We hope this hardhat auction will raise awareness for Habitat’s mission and help raise funds for families in need.”

Lewis Hamilton Helps the HoneyPot Charity

Formula One’s newly crowned world champion, Lewis Hamilton, lent his support to the Honeypot charity via the shirt off his back. Telecommunications giant Sony Ericsson also kicked off their support with a ‘money-cant-buy’ auction on eBay.

Among the treasures that were up for bids in the charity auction was a shirt signed by Lewis Hamilton which sold for $979.00; VIP tickets to see the Pussycat Dolls, a hoody signed by The Zutons and VIP tickets to the screening of new James Bond film Quantum of Solace.

The auction ended November 2 but look for much more support from Sony Ericsson, who recently signed a two-year deal to support the children’s charity.

Pussycat Dolls Head To Australia For Charity Gig

The Pussycat Dolls are heading down under and will perform a charity fundraiser to assist breast cancer research in Australia later this month.

The group – which began as a burlesque troupe based in Los Angeles in 1995, before being “re-cast” as a music group in 2003 – was created by choreographer Robin Antin and recently released their second studio album, Doll Domination.

The Dolls will hit the stage at QBH (of the Queensbridge Hotel) in Melbourne at 7.30pm on Thursday October 16, with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The girls agreed to do the benefit after their close friend Christina Applegate was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year.

Justin Timberlake Proves That Fashion Rocks

Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus and Charlize Theron were some of the stars who appeared at the fifth annual Fashion Rocks concert celebrating the relationship between music and fashion last Friday.

Proceeds from the show – which was televised on CBS on Tuesday night – went to Stand Up To Cancer, which held its own star-studded telethon on the same evening. The Fashion Rocks show included a performance of more than a dozen divas — including Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Natasha Bedingfield, Fergie, Rihanna and Cyrus — who sung their new charity song Just Stand Up, which was beamed live to the Stand Up To Cancer television extravaganza.

“This is the first time we’re all together singing the song,” said Bedingfield. “It was really special. It was really like a sisterhood, like a bond… We’re all used to being the stars — the only star in the room — and it was really nice I think that everyone could just come together and really support each other.”

Mission Australia and Make-A-Wish Australia are two charities reaping the benefits of the Microsoft sponsored ‘Red V Blue’ Charity campaign. Microsoft enlisted the help of some top-notch celebrities such as Snoop Dogg and Kanye West to sign one-of-a-kind airbrushed Xbox 360s before putting them up for bids on eBay to raise money for the two charities.

Only 30 exclusive Red v Blue Xbox 360’s are being offered during the course of the four-week auction. Each console is hand painted with the artists face on one side, and their signature on the other. Raising money for Mission Australia, team Red members include Snoop Dogg, Neyo, Ice Cube, Justin Timberlake, Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna and Kanye West. On the other side and raising money for Make-A-Wish Australia, are team Blue members: Lupe Fiasco, Evermore, Linkin Park, Talib Kweli, Paramore and Eskimo Joe. Bidding is currently open on Ebay, and so far, team Red has raised over AU$1,200 ($1000) and team Blue has raised AU$283.00 ($250).
