Gomez and her band performed at her second annual charity concert at the House Of Blues to benefit the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s work providing lifesaving nutrition, clean water, medicine, safety and education to children worldwide.

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF has announced that top model, host and executive producer of Project Runway Heidi Klum is taking on yet another role, this time as the 2011 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Ambassador.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is one of the longest-running youth volunteer initiatives in America. For 61 years it has served as the original Kids Helping Kids campaign for American children, providing them with an impactful way of making a difference in the lives of their peers in other countries.

As the 2011 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Ambassador, Heidi Klum will serve as the spokesperson for the first ever online Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Costume Party. This new digital aspect of the campaign will allow UNICEF supporters to participate in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF in a variety of fun, interactive ways. UNICEF Celebrates George Harrison's Charity Concert For Bangladesh

On the 40th anniversary of George Harrison’s groundbreaking Concert for Bangladesh, the first major celebrity charity concert for a humanitarian cause, the music community is coming together yet again for UNICEF, this time to help provide emergency relief for children in famine and drought-affected regions in the Horn of Africa.

UNICEF is calling the situation in the Horn of Africa the “worst humanitarian emergency in the world,” with Somalia being the epicenter of the crisis.

The tour will raise funds for women’s charities in each city it visits, and organizers have launched Choose Your Charity on Facebook to help decide the beneficiaries. We asked the students from Griffith Middle School in East LA what they would like to see changed about the world, and which celebrities they think would best be able to lead the way. The stories have all been written with careful consideration and hope, and we were impressed with the scope of answers.

Stars To Attend Bilingual Learning Center Charity Gala

Stars such as Wilmer Valderrama and Esai Morales will attend a special event this weekend to raise funds to promote bilingual education.

The 2nd annual Multicultural Harmony Gala will be held at Pickwick Gardens in Burbank on March 13, and will honor Debbie Allen, as well as Peter Murrieta and his cast from the Wizards of Waverly Place, including Selena Gomez.

The event will raise funds for the Multicultural Learning Center, a bilingual (Spanish/English) charter school in the San Fernando Valley.
