Film director Danny Boyle and Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch will take part in a special late night Q&A about their new stage production in aid of creative arts charity Dramatic Need on April 20.

For just £10, you can join the Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle and the play’s stars, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller, for a spine-chilling late night Q&A as they lift the curtain on their radical, role-swapping reinterpretation of Mary Shelley’s classic novel. This is the only time all three will be discussing the project together.

Dramatic Need is a UK-registered charity that hosts creative arts workshops in underprivileged and rural communities in South Africa and Rwanda. The charity promotes creative expression as a tool for conflict resolution, social development, gender empowerment and the assimilation of health messages in underprivileged communities. Dramatic Need also provides art, music and film-making equipment to African schools. The charity has been particularly effective in encouraging young people to discuss and challenge the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.

Stars Join Elephant Project Auction For Alzheimer's

A host of celebrities have signed “Elephant Cards” for the latest Elephant Project auction to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

Building on the idea that elephants never forget, the special photo cards have been signed by stars such as Ashley Tisdale, Miranda Cosgrove, Chace Crawford, Kristin Chenoweth, Stockard Channing, Carrie Fisher, Brandon Flowers, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt, Jane Fonda, Nelly Furtado, Jonny Lee Miller, Sienna Miller, Lauren Ambrose, Geoffrey Rush, Susan Sarandon, Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Lady Gaga, Gerard Butler and many more.

Created in 2006 by 18-year old David Niederhoffer after his grandfather passed away from Alzheimer’s disease, the Elephant Project aims to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association, and to get teenagers more active in community service.

Stars Hit The Catwalk For St. Judes

A bevy of stars stepped out on the catwalk on Saturday night for the 5th annual Runway For Life benefit in Beverly Hills.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ross McCall, Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez, Jonny Lee Miller, Daisy Fuentes, Jason Alexander, Nancy O’Dell, Cybill Shepherd, Natasha Henstridge and Jaime Pressley were among the stars to show their fashionable sides in the fundraiser for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and William Shatner was spotted in the audience.

Over 1,000 guests attended the event – held at the Beverly Hilton – which raised well over $1 million for St. Judes. Runway for Life is one of the biggest fundraising events of the hospital’s calendar, and has netted over $6.5 million since it was first staged.

British actor Jonny Lee Miller flashed his bare skin to Ellen DeGeneres to raise money for charity earlier this week.

The 35-year-old ex-husband of Angelina Jolie bared his flesh after a dare made by DeGeneres on her talk show in which she offered to pay $1,000 to a breast cancer charity for every tattoo the heavily tattooed actor revealed.

Miller stripped to show 6 tattoos – adding, “The rest you don’t want to see.”

Peace Day Concert 2008 To Rock London

After last year’s sell out show, the annual Peace One Day concert is set to rock the Royal Albert Hall in London.

World Peace Day has been held on September 21 annually since 2001, when the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted September 21 as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence. The initiative came from an idea by Jeremy Gilley, who founded his non-profit organization – Peace One Day – in 1999. Since then he has amassed an impressive list of supporters, including Chris Martin, Sir Richard Branson, Angelina Jolie, Alan Rickman, and Michael Douglas.

This year’s concert will see performances from Annie Lennox, Bryan Adams, and a guest appearance from Jude Law. There will also be a gala screening of The Day After Peace, the acclaimed new documentary film made by Jeremy Gilley. The film, which received a great reception at its premiere during the 61st Cannes Film Festival, features Kofi Annan, The Dalai Lama, Angelina Jolie, Jude Law, Annie Lennox and Jonny Lee Miller.

Elton's Oscar Party Raises $5.1m

Sunday night saw the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 16th annual Academy Awards viewing party, which this year raised $5.1 million thanks to its spectacular guest list.

The Pacific Design Center venue saw even more of Hollywood’s glitterati than anticipated, boasting the attendance of “Best Actress” award winner Marion Cotillard and “Best Supporting Actor” nominee Tom Wilkinson. Further top names present included Amy Adams, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi, Sean Penn, Patricia Clarkson, Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford, Josh Groban, Faye Dunaway, Sean Combs, Seal and Heidi Klum, Prince, Kate Beckinsale, Billy Joel, Courtney Love, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Petra Nemcova, Jeremy Piven, Roberto Cavalli, Minnie Driver, Simon Cowell and Herbie Hancock.

The gala was co-hosted by Elton’s partner David Furnish, and included dinner, a musical performance by Elton himself and a live auction.
