Dame Vivienne Westwood is investing her own funds to launch a 7 million pound fundraising campaign supporting the rainforest charity Cool Earth, founded by Frank Field MP, to demonstrate how rapidly money can be deployed into rainforest programs.

The action is to expose the World Bank’s expenditure failings as a staggering 90% of funds pledged to halt deforestation remains unspent.

Bryan Adams is back with a brand new album – Bare Bones – and recently sat down with PETA India to talk about his love of animals.

In the interview, the rocker states that “if you love animals, don’t eat them,” and explains that he has been a vegetarian since 1988.

 "If you decide to change your life and stop eating all kinds of animal products, you will inevitably see a change," he says. “The most profound change I ever saw in myself was when I ate only raw food for a year and half. Nothing cooked, nothing animal or fish. Aside from losing weight (which I didn’t have), it was the best I’d ever felt. I’ve incorporated some cooked food back into my diet, but my regime is still about 70 per cent fruit and salad and nuts every day.”

Celebrities Dress As Favorite Stars For Boy George Charity Photos

Boy George has gathered some of his celebrity friends together for a series of special portraits with a difference – each star was asked to dress as their favorite celebrity.

The portraits – which feature Sadie Frost as Madonna, Paloma Faith as Boy George and Mathew Horne as Adam Ant – will raise money for the Hepatitis C Trust when they go under the hammer in March.

“I have just done this exhibition for the Hep Trust, which is a charity,” explained the pop star on UK’s The Morning TV show. “Apparently 75 per cent of people that have it don’t know they have it.”

BBC’s Red Nose Day television extravaganza, Funny For Money, raised over £57 million (US$80 million) on Friday night, breaking the previous record of £40 million set in 2007.

Frost and Moss Help Orphans

Sadie Frost is flying to Africa to help build an orphanage for the Homes Of Hope project.

Frost learned of the plight of twelve AIDS orphans while travelling in South Africa with her ex-huband, Jude Law, and their children last year.

Frost is also trying to involve her good friend, Kate Moss, in the project. A friend of the supermodel says that the English beauty is speaking to some of her clients to see what they can do, and is also donating money to the cause.
