For those celebrating Christmas in Australia this year, the Starlight Children’s Foundation is holding a special auction of stars designed by 17 of the country’s favorite celebrities to raise money to grant seriously ill children wishes.

Nicole Kidman, Missy Higgins, and Andrew Johns are some of the big names to design the framed stars, along with the cast of children’s show Hi 5, The Veronicas, and many more. Each star comes with a signed photo of the celebrity, as well as other goodies such as a personal phone call from Andrew Johns.

The Starlight Children’s Foundation was established in 1989, and delivers innovative programs designed to make children happy and lift their spirits when they need it most. Starlight brings fun and laughter to children no matter what their illness or where they live.

Australian rugby league legend Andrew Johns has set off on an epic six day walk to raise awareness of mental health.

The former Newcastle Knights captain was joined by over 500 supporters – including Australian Prime Minister Paul Rudd – on the first stage of his journey on Sunday. The 176-mile walk will take Johns from Newcastle to Sydney, and will raise awareness and funds for research into bipolar disorder.

In recognition of Johns’ walk, Paul Rudd also pledged Aus$2 million (US$1.4 million) to the Black Dog Institute, an educational, research, clinical and community-oriented facility offering specialist expertise in mood disorders.
