  <title>Stars Donate Ties To Celebrity Charity Auction</title>
  <description>Dressing up is a surefire way to feel good, but a number of notable men in the worlds of entertainment, sports and music are doffing their ties to help raise money as part of the Career Gear Celebrity Tie Auction.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Career Gear is a nonprofit organization that assists disadvantaged men in finding and retaining employment through workshops and wardrobe donations. Just in time for the holidays, the organization is auctioning off autographed ties donated by celebrities such as Zach Galifianakis, Jay Leno and Carmelo Anthony to raise funds to sustain its job retention services. In these troubled economic times these gentlemen and others are showing their character by helping men get back to the security and satisfaction of gainful employment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now in its third year, the Career Gear Celebrity Tie Auction has also generously received ties from Kevin Spacey, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Kevin Bacon, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Tim Gunn, Matt Dillon, Tyreke Evans, David Duchovny, Peter Facinelli, Kenneth Faried, Xavier Henry, David Tutera, Al Horford, Gordon Ramsay, Al Roker, George Kotsiopoulos, Russell Westbrook and Rainn Wilson.

  <description>A highly esteemed cast of celebrities will perform Sarah Tuft&amp;#8217;s play &amp;#8216;110 Stories&amp;#8217; this coming 9/11 as a love letter to NY to benefit a related charity.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To commemorate the Tenth Anniversary of 9/11, artists including Susan Sarandon, James Gandolfini, Matt Dillon, Edie Falco, Sam Shepard, Patricia Clarkson, Kathleen Turner, Angela Bassett, John Turturro, Andre Braugher, Josh Lucas, John Hawkes, Michael Shannon, Stelio Savante, Michael Stuhlbarg, Aasif Mandvi and Daniel Sunjata will share first hand accounts of the tragedy.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;#8220;110 Stories&amp;#8221; has been performed annually on Sept 11th at The Public Theater (2004), The Geffen Playhouse (2010), The Vineyard Theatre (2003), as part of &amp;#8220;Brave New World&amp;#8221; at Town Hall (2002) and at The Grove Street Theater (2001). Proceeds have gone to The Leary Firefighters Foundation, LA Red Cross for Haiti Relief, New York Children&amp;#8217;s Foundation and The Salvation Army.

This was the first year &lt;span class="caps"&gt;BTIG&lt;/span&gt; held Commissions for Charity Day internationally in its offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and London.

  <title>Stars Attend Charity Party For A Special Cause</title>
  <description>A host of Hollywood A-Listers were out and about in New York earlier this week for a very special charity party.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;God&amp;#8217;s Love We Deliver provides meals and nutritional counseling to people living with life-altering illnesses. On December 22, stars such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Hartnett, Matt Dillon, Justin Theroux, Mark Ronson, Scott Campbell, Mary Louise-Parker and many others gathered at the Smyth Tribeca Hotel to raise money for the cause.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The charity has also announced that Joan Rivers will perform a series of shows in January to raise money for the organization. The star will perform at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York on Jan 5/6/12/20 and February 3 and 24. Proceeds will also go to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Eric Bana, Matt Dillon, James Marsden, Christopher Meloni, Neil Patrick Harris and Tony Shalhoub have also loosened their collars in honor of Career Gear&amp;#8217;s decade of helping men in need. Additionally, a full suit donated by professional hockey player and fashion enthusiast Sean Avery will be up for bid, as well as a selection of ties from André &amp;#8220;3000&amp;#8221; Benjamin&amp;#8217;s clothing line, Benjamin Bixby.
