Shaggy Leads Supergroup For Haiti

Supergroups are the fashion at the moment, and now it is reggae’s turn – a trio of reggae superstars have joined forces for charity.

Shaggy has joined with Sean Paul and Sean Kingston for his new song, Rise Again, to benefit Haitian earthquake relief.

“Rise Again is for the people of Haiti,” said Shaggy. “It is to show them that we are here for them, and that we will support them each step of the way as they begin rebuilding their lives, which were shattered by the earthquake. I am very proud of this song and the collaboration with Digicel.”

Shaggy Rocks For Charity In Jamaica

Shaggy joined his friends Rik Rok and Macy Gray on stage in Jamaica to raise money for charity over the weekend.

The 40-year-old Jamaican singer – whose latest release, Intoxication, has just been nominated for a Grammy – appeared at Jamaica House in Kingston to raise money for the Bustamante Hospital for Children, a cause close to his heart.

“It takes one person to start a miracle,” he told the Jamaica Observer. "And when I saw the level of need [at the hospital], it was something that played on my emotions. I never saw [charity work] like this at the forefront of my future. But I am glad it is all happening because everything is a learning activity and I am becoming a better human in the process.
