Kim Kardashian has blogged about a very special charity event taking place in March 2012.

“This year I was diagnosed with psoriasis, a hereditary, genetic, autoimmune disease that effects over 125 million people around the world and currently has no cure,” she wrote on her official blog. "On March 4 2012 it will be the sixth annual Walk To Cure Psoriasis and I hope you guys will join me in helping raise funds and awareness for the event. Over the last five years they have raised almost 1.5 million dollars to help research for a cure and there are now 22 walks across the country! They also started the first ever DNA BioBank, which is used by researchers across the country and the money from the walk goes directly to this.

HoneyLove is a non-profit organization that plays a vital role in protecting the urban honeybees and inspire and educate new urban beekeepers.

In January of this year, one of the True Blood crew members passed away, and the producers, cast and crew have formed a Trust Fund to help secure the financial future of his children.

Jesse James Cartwright was only 39 years old and left behind 3 children, a mother, brother and sister, as well as an extended family and many friends.

Jesse worked for True Blood for several years and was greatly liked and appreciated by his colleagues and all the crew and cast members. The news of his passing was a great shock for everybody. Executive Producer Greg Fienberg gave a touching speech for the gathered crew about how they had lost a brother in the True Blood Family. Jesse passed away when True Blood was shooting episode 4.04, this episode is therefore dedicated to his memory.

As the evil vampire Pam on the HBO hit True Blood, Kristin Bauer may not be a fan of wolves, but in reality, animals have a special place in her heart. As a long time supporter of the International Fund For Animal Welfare (IFAW), Kristin and her True Blood fans are hosting an online auction to benefit the organization.

Starting on June 25, the popular fan website TrueBlood-Online.com will auction off a 15 minute Skype call with Kristin. In the following months, the site will also auction Kristin’s dress from the True Blood Season 3 premiere and a personalized photo of Kristin with a handwritten note. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to IFAW.

“Helping animals is one of my greatest passions,” said Bauer. “The work IFAW does is so incredible and I wanted the True Blood community to be able to contribute.”
