Singer songwriter Debbie Gibson will appear on season five of Celebrity Apprentice, and has announced she will play for the charity Children International.

Celebrity Apprentice is a reality television show where celebrities compete in weekly challenges and donate any winnings to their personal charities. Every week, the celebrity contestants will work in two teams, each under the guidance of a designated project manager, to compete in business-driven tasks around New York City, using their fame, along with their proven business acumen, to win challenges.

On Friday, April 29, Co-Chairs Nancy Davis and Tommy Hilfiger welcomed guests to the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza for the 18th Annual Race to Erase MS. The event raised more than $2 million to benefit the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis.

Celebrity guests at this year’s event included host, MS survivor and advocate Nancy Davis, along with Tia Carrere, Holly Marie Combs, Rachael Leigh Cook, Cindy Crawford, David Faustino, Daisy Fuentes, Debbie Gibson, Melissa Joan Hart, Samantha Harris, Nicky Hilton, Paris Hilton, LaToya Jackson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Jon Lovitz, Chris Massey, Kyle Massey, Dr. Lisa Masterson, Shaun Robinson, Matt Sorum, Raven Symone, Lea Thompson, Sela Ward and many more. After celebrities made their way down the red carpet, they stopped by the Windows Phone Booth to take photos and record videos to tweet. For each celebrity video tweeted Windows Phone donated $500 to the cause.

Singer Debbie Gibson is inviting you to the inaugural gala benefiting her charity, the Gibson Girl Foundation.

The event will honor Hank Lane, CEO of Hank Lane Music, and Ira Wallach of Triangle Distribution/Linear Logistics. Both men are being honored for their support of the Gibson Girl Foundation and other charities. The evening will also feature a special performance by Debbie.

The Gibson Girl Foundation awards scholarships and instruments to underprivileged children who display talent and have a desire to participate in programs designed to nurture their individual skills in the performing arts scholarships and instruments to young performers.

The Only In My Jeans auction (a play on Deb’s 1987 hit single “Only In My Dreams”) sees jeans signed by celebrities such as the casts of Desperate Housewives and Glee (pictured below), Ryan Seacrest, Rob Thomas, Hilary Duff, Rick Fox, Lance Bass, Chris Angel and many more going under the hammer for the Gibson Girl Foundation – a charity that awards scholarships to qualifying youth who desire to attend an entertainment camp, but are unable to afford camp tuition.

Desperate Housewives’ Maiara Walsh is returning to co-host Girl Prep, the interactive empowerment conference for girls aged 10-13.

Girl Prep was created as a response to the increased community concern for early intervention in the lives of disadvantaged teen and tween girls aged 10 to 13 years old.

200 inner-city girls from the Los Angeles area will be invited to attend the one-day conference on May 1st, which includes a meet-and-greet with celebrities, live music, lunch, games and gifting to name a few.
