Bryan Brothers To Host Charity Tennis

The Alta Bates Summit Foundation is proud to announce the 18th Annual Celebrity Tennis Classic and “Return to Monte Carlo” Gala on Saturday, September 26th, 2009, at the Berkeley Tennis Club and the Claremont Resort and Spa.

The all-day tournament will feature the #1 doubles team in the world, Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan – aka the Bryan Brothers – with sponsored players competing throughout the day in once-in-a-lifetime doubles matches with Bay Area tennis pros and celebrities from radio, television and sports.

The “Return to Monte Carlo” Gala will be held after the Celebrity Tennis Classic at the Claremont Resort and Spa in Berkeley. Attendees will experience the thrill and excitement of casino gaming, sip some fine wine and other libations, dine on a delicious variety of international cuisine, and can participate in an exciting live auction.

The Alta Bates Summit Foundation Celebrity Tennis Classic is one of the most successful and longest-running charity celebrity tennis events in the United States, which year-after-year continually sells out the Berkeley Tennis Club.

Proceeds will fund life saving equipment for Cardiovascular Services at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. The Celebrity Tennis Classic also benefits a number of other life saving programs and services that the Medical Center provides to meet the health care needs of the people it serves. Over the years, this event has raised over $4 million for the health care needs of the East Bay Community.

Andre Agassi To Serve At Charity Match

Tennis great Andre Agassi has been confirmed to play at a charity match at the Sherwood Country Club in California in September.

The Bryan Brothers’ All-Star Tennis Smash will take place on September 27, and will benefit local and national charities. It is the first event to benefit The Bryan Brothers Foundation, an organization set up by the top-ranked doubles team of Bob and Mike Bryan, both of whom play for the US Davis Cup team and will compete at the Beijing Olympics next month.
