Kevin Bacon and John Stamos are asking their fans to make donations to Bread for the World, one of their favorite hunger organizations. The request is part of a holiday hunger fundraising campaign organized by Bacon’s charitable initiative, SixDegrees.org, in partnership with Network for Good.

“I woke up this morning and had a good meal, but millions of people didn’t,” said Bacon. “We at SixDegrees.org are excited to promote ‘6 Days of Good for Hunger’ to bring attention to the cause and inspire giving, especially this time of year.”

Alberta Ferretti and Emma Watson have joined forces to create high-fashion’s first eco-label.

The 5 piece collection was launched on the 21st of March and has been hugely successful, with two pieces selling out completely. Proceeds from the sales will be donated to People Tree, a fair-trade British clothing company. All the clothes are made according to ethical guidelines, with fair-trade fabrics and good working conditions. On her choosing of celebrity, Ferretti said that Emma Watson ‘was an obvious choice for me on this project as we share a deep sensibility for the green cause’.

This is no doubt referring to Watson’s other three People Tree Clothing collections that she has released in the past two years. All four of her ethical collections reflect perfectly Watson’s personality, put simply by Ferretti as ‘fresh, spontan[eous] and simpl[e]’.

London’s newest events space Altitude London continues to raise more money for the British Red Cross in aid of Haiti with Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan.

Following the success of last week’s celebrity charity fundraiser iRock4Haiti, which has raised so far an impressive £55,000, Altitude London has launched an eBay auction in association with The British Red Cross which will be hosted on both eBay and their website from February 23rd 2010.  

The lots for the eBay auction have been personally sourced and donated by Lohan and Altitude London, with the aim of bringing the total sum raised to over £100,000. Prizes include a money-can’t-buy Limited Edition NYPD Car signed by Lindsay Lohan. The NYPD car has just been used in a Viral Marketing Campaign to launch Altitude London’s new venue The River room to The United States market. Wyclef Jean will join Lindsay Lohan in hosting this week’s massive party event for Haiti in London.

London’s elite will come together on Tuesday 16th February for “iRock4Haiti,” a charity fund-raiser event in association with The British Red Cross.

Lindsay Lohan is to host a charity party in London to raise money for Haiti.

The star has joined with organizers of the Brit Awards for the event to raise at least $160,000 for the Red Cross. The Brit Awards Celebration in Aid of Haiti will take place at Altitude in London on February 16, and the star has recorded a video to raise awareness of the event.

“I am coming to London to host a party at Altitude London,” said Lohan. “We are doing this in aid of Haiti and I want you to help us raise as much money as possible. All the money we raise will go directly to the Red Cross. I hope to see you there.”

Cycling legend Lance Armstrong is the latest star to donate to victims of the Haitian earthquake.

The star’s LiveStrong Foundation, has pledged $250,000 to relief charities to help in the rebuilding of the country.

“I think what’s on top of everybody’s mind is the earthquake in Haiti and the devastation we all have seen on television or the newspaper or the internet,” he said in a video message. "Some say more than a 100,000 lives lost.

A new book featuring photos of over 100 celebrities will raise money for a human rights project.

Room 23 is the brainchild of entrepreneur and philanthropist Diana Jenkins and depicts a year in the life of a Beverly Hills penthouse suite. Stars to take part in the project and allow themselves to be intimately revealed include George Clooney, Cindy Crawford, Elton John, Dennis Hopper, Larry King, Heidi Klum, Kid Rock, Lindsay Lohan, Ludacris, Moby, Hayden Panettiere, Christian Slater, Sharon Stone and many more.

Actress, model and pop music singer Lindsay Lohan hosted a special holiday collection fashion showcase for her new 6126 fashion line of leggings at Pure on November 7 in Caesars Palace.

The show was a huge success, and the money raised went to the Women’s Cancer Research Institute for ovarian cancer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, a multidisciplinary program that is working to reduce the threat of cancer to women through research, education, early detection and prevention.

22-year-old Lohan started in show business as a child fashion model for magazine advertisements and television commercials. At age 10, she began her acting career in a soap opera; at 11, she made her motion picture debut by playing identical twins in Disney’s 1998 remake of The Parent Trap.

The 21-year-old star of Mean Girls, Herbie Fully Loaded, Just My Luck, and The Parent Trap is encouraging shoppers in the UK to swap their unwanted clothes at the Visa Swap Shop store in Covent Garden, London, in support of TRAID – Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development.

Stars Deliver For Literacy Charities

Kate Winslet, Margaret Atwood, Jonathan Pryce and Phil Collins are among 40 celebrities who have donated their time and artistic skills to the UK Pitney Bowes Pushing the Envelope campaign.

The stars have each decorated an envelope in order to raise funds for the National Literacy Trust, and the unique framed art is available on eBay until the 20th of October.

This is the third year that the campaign has taken place, and organisers are hoping it will be as successful as last year’s auction, which raised over £11,000 for the Trust.

Charlize Theron Hosts Children's Benefit Auction

Charlize Theron hosted an auction on June 27th to raise money for children in her native South Africa. The event in Los Angeles drew the support of other Hollywood celebrities, and raised $140,000 to help families in need.

The auction was attended by stars such as Lindsay Lohan, and items up for auction included a jacket from Will Smith, signed DVDs from Tom Hanks and an original Scarface poster donated by Al Pacino.

The Charlize Theron African Outreach Project benefits Oprah’s Angel Network and helps support vulnerable children in rural South Africa.
