Get Justin Bieber's Sunglasses For Charity

Justin Bieber, Sarah McLachlan, David Foster and other great celebrities all have something in common: they’re helping Canadians rebuild their lives after losing their vision – by donating their sunglasses to CNIB for the charity’s upcoming Shades of Fun auction on eBay.

Opening to the public at www.cnib.ca/auctions on May 13, the auction is part of CNIB’s Shades of Fun campaign, an annual fundraiser that encourages Canadians from coast to coast to slip on their sunglasses throughout May to protect their eyes from UV damage, and raise funds to support CNIB services for people with vision loss.

Cure Duchenne At Celebrity Charity Gala

The annual Dealing for Duchenne event is a fun and inspiring evening for a very worthy cause. Every year celebrities, athletes, families, scientists, and community business leaders gather to support Cure Duchenne and the Center for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at UCLA.

This year, Cure Duchenne is proud to honor retired President and CEO of Warner Bros. Records, Tom Whalley and Global CMO of General Motors, Joel Ewanick. These two families have committed valuable time, and resources to Cure Duchenne and have been instrumental in gaining public awareness.

Duchenne is the most common muscle disease in children. One in every 3,500 boys born worldwide will be afflicted with Duchenne. It progressively robs these boys of their ability to move and cuts their lives short, just before these young men make their mark on the world.

Elton John And Friends To Rock Andre Agassi's Charity Bash

Elton John, Jason Mraz, Jennifer Hudson, Rob Thomas, David Foster and Bill Cosby will perform at Andre Agassi’s Grand Slam for Children on October 9.

The annual event supports the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation’s efforts to transform education and benefits the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy (Agassi Prep), a K-12 public charter school in Las Vegas that strives to provide children with a first-class education. Hosted by tennis legend and philanthropist Andre Agassi and presented by Genworth Financial, the 2010 Grand Slam for Children will take place Saturday, Oct. 9 at Wynn Las Vegas.

Celebrating its 15th year, the Grand Slam brings together international stars – from music to comedy – each year to build awareness and raise money for the Foundation. Dedicated to transforming education, the Foundation opened the Agassi Academy in 2001; in 2009, the public charter school graduated its first senior class with 100 percent of graduates accepted into college. The Foundation’s work is directly impacting students in Las Vegas, Agassi’s hometown community, but it has broader implications for education nationwide.

The annual event supports the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation’s efforts to transform education and benefits the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy (Agassi Prep), a K-12 public charter school in Las Vegas that strives to provide children with a first-class education.
LTTS Exclusive: Inside A Night To Make A Difference with Host Michelle Vink

Look To The Stars’ lead host, Michelle Vink was on hand as a host of Leeza Gibbons’ A Night To Make A Difference Fundraiser on Oscar night. Read her story below:

“Without hope, life is just not worth living”…

Those were the words from Harvey Milk from the Oscar-winning movie, Milk. Despite the uncertain state of the economy and the lack of faith we keep hearing about on the news, there was an overwhelming resurgence of hopeful optimism at the Oscars this year. Winning storylines like Slumdog Millionaire and Milk captured that very essence.

Exclusive Interview: Look To The Stars Talks To Olivia Newton-John

With four Grammy Awards and a further eight nominations behind her, Olivia Newton-John is nothing short of a legend in the music world.

Born in England but raised in Australia, Olivia was talented singer from a young age and passionate about music: she released her first solo album in 1971, and in 1974 represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest. A long list of hits, including I Honestly Love You and Let Me Be There, led to her being cast as Sandy in the film version of Grease in 1978.

The early 1980s were phenomenal years for the young star, and she had a string of hits including Xanadu, Let’s Get Physical, and Suddenly. But in 1992, on the eve of a world tour, Newton-John was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was the start of a long battle for the Grammy Award winning artist, but she eventually overcame the disease and returned to music.
