Enrique Iglesias has announced that he will be the featured performer for The Salvation Army’s 15th annual Red Kettle Kickoff during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game against the Miami Dolphins on November 24, 2011 (4:15 p.m. ET; CBS).

Enrique’s live nationally televised performance will mark the start of the 120th anniversary of the Army’s iconic Red Kettle Campaign, which began in San Francisco in 1891.

Country Music couple Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton are to host a very special charity concert to raise money for victims of the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma.

For country superstars like Reba and Blake Shelton, home is definitely where the heart is. Both hailing from Oklahoma, the news of Atoka County’s recent tornado disaster prompted the stars to reach out to the affected area. Reba was born just outside of Kiowa, which is approximately 30 miles away from the greatest devastation. Shelton was born in Ada and currently resides in Tishomingo, less than 50 miles from the Atoka County border.

Reba and Shelton made a decision to host the “Tornado Relief Concert” on May 26 in partnership with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and Choctaw Casino Resort as a way to help their hometown friends.

Muhammad Ali’s annual celebrity charity Fight Night is to return to Arizona this month.

Celebrity Fight Night XVII will be hosted by Grammy Award-winning superstar of country music Reba McEntire, who is returning for her sixth time as emcee. The black tie event will begin with cocktails and a silent auction with dinner, an exciting live auction and entertainment to follow. On January 24th, Poison frontman Bret Michaels went in to surgery to repair a hole in his heart, while his fans got busy showing him some love.

During the time Bret was in surgery, there was a huge influx of donations to one of his favorite charities, the American Diabetes Association, leading him to release a statement through his rep.

“Bret would like to send out a big thank you to all those who donated to the ADA,” his rep told Hollywood Life. “He is extremely appreciative of this incredible support.”

Academy Of Country Music Donates To Charity

The Academy of Country Music has announced a $1 million endowment to ACM Lifting Lives, made on behalf of the artists who participated in the taping of ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn – The Last Rodeo in Las Vegas in May.

Ticket proceeds from the taping went to ACM Lifting Lives, which in turn quickly earmarked funding for those affected by the recent floods in Middle Tennessee. The gift successfully completes a three-year funding commitment and fundraising campaign the Academy initiated in 2008.

The legend himself, Muhammad Ali, was the guest of honor at Celebrity Fight Night XV, held at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday. And this year’s event once again lived up to its reputation as one the nation’s largest fundraising efforts, as celebrities and sport stars lined up to support the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.

Since it’s inception 15 years ago, Celebrity Fight Night has raised more than $52 million for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson’s Center in Phoenix and other charities.
