Slash And Ozzy Feature In Gibson GuitarTown Charity Auction

Gibson GuitarTown on The Sunset Strip, administered by the Gibson Foundation, is completing its yearlong “tour” of the boulevard and has announced the art guitars will be auctioned for charity on December 3, 2011, at Julien’s Auctions Beverly Hills Gallery (9665 Wilshire Blvd.) beginning at 2 p.m.

The auction will also be accessible online at www.julienslive.com. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Los Angeles Youth Network, which provides outreach, food, emergency shelter, transitional living and educational enrichment programs for homeless adolescents; West Hollywood Arts & Cultural Commission to further support public art and artists on The Sunset Strip; and the West Hollywood Library.

GuitarTown on The Sunset Strip is a larger-than-life public art exhibit celebrating the people and places that have shaped the legendary music boulevard. More than 20 ten-foot Gibson art guitars have lined the 1.6-mile boulevard since August 2010.

Doobie Brothers To Perform Songs Of Hope At Celebrity Charity Event

Music and entertainment industry giants will come together on November 4 for Songs of Hope VI, a special evening with live music and a silent auction benefiting City of Hope at the exclusive Esquire House LA.

The event will feature intimate performances by The Doobie Brothers, Kenny Loggins and K’naan. The Songs of Hope VI silent auction will feature rare, one-of-a-kind music experiences and autographed items, including the opportunity to bid on Slash’s autographed top hat; a walk-on role in the new Jamie Foxx movie “Skank Robbers”, a pair of limited-edition THIEL “Sunburst” speakers numbered and signed by Les Paul, whose classic Sunburst guitar inspired them, original signed lyrics and Oscar-nominated scores and songs and a live auction for autographed sheet music and photo of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.”

Ludacris To Reunite With Tommy Lee For Charity

Motley Crue drummer and former husband of Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee, and rapper Ludacris will reunite this Saturday, August 29, for a special culinary charity event.

The event will be held at Ludacris’ restaurant, Straits, in Atlanta for a fund-raiser benefiting his Ludacris Foundation. The Foundation was created to inspire youth to take responsibility for their future, build stronger families and foster community economic development in the community. The Ludacris Foundation is committed to helping youth help themselves.

There will even be an after-party for the event, which will take place from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. after Lee’s final encore with Motley Crue at the Aarons Amphitheater at Lakewood.

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi has a tender spot for the homeless and recently showed his true colors through working with homeless charities.

In August, Kenneth Cole New York announced that Kenneth Cole and Jon Bon Jovi have partnered to design a limited-edition outerwear collection that will be made available at Kenneth Cole New York retail stores and Saks Fifth Avenue stores this November.
