Charity biography

James Hetfield was the lead vocals and guitarist in thrash-metal supergroup, Metallica. Metallica earned 9 Grammy awards and world-wode recognition in an otherwise pop-saturated culture.

James himself gained recognition as one of the ‘100 Greatest Metal Guitarists’, according to Joel McIver and ranked twenty-fourth by Hit Parader on their list of the ‘100 Greatest Metal Vocalists of All Time’.

James recently donated items to an auction in aid of Little Kids Rock and also hosted a charity concert with his band members in support of Marin Museum’s ‘Marin Rocks’ exhibition, from which funding was pulled at the last moment.
