Rick Finkelstein, Executive Producer at Factory Entertainment Group, has once again teamed up with Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions and is presently shooting “How Sweet It Is”.

This film is a musical comedy starring Joe Piscopo, Paul Sorvino, Erika Christensen, Steven Chase and Eddie Griffin. “How Sweet It Is” is about an alcoholic theater owner that needs to put together a successful musical in order to pay off his mob debt, but problems arise when the wise guys want to cast their friends in the production.

Paul Sorvino To Sing For Charity

For one night only, legendary actor and Renaissance man Paul Sorvino will wow audiences with his powerful voice in Paul Sorvino Sings, a one-man performance of operatic arias, popular standards and classic Neapolitan love songs.

One of Hollywood’s most iconic personalities, Paul Sorvino will be performing the concert this week at the beautifully restored Saban Theater in Beverly Hills on Friday November 11th at 8PM.

Though best known for his roles in award winning films such as Goodfellas and Nixon, Paul Sorvino has been honing his skill as a classically trained opera singer since childhood and has performed in various Broadway and regional productions in a career stemming five decades. In 2006 Sorvino starred in The New York State Theater at Lincoln Center’s production of the musical Most Happy Fella, garnering him rave reviews and introducing the world to his superb vocal range. The accomplished tenor has also performed at the Seattle Opera and Met Gala and appeared in his own PBS Special, An Evening with Paul Sorvino.

Meryl Streep And Friends Speak Truth For Charity

A host of stars including Meryl Streep, Viggo Mortensen, Paul Sorvino, Julianne Moore, Marcia Gay Harden, Debra Winger, Stanley Tucci and more took part in a special charity performance of Speak Truth To Power: Voices From Beyond The Dark on Monday night.

The reading was performed at the Public Theater in New York City. Originally a book written by Kerry Kennedy, “SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER” was adapted by playwright Ariel Dorfman for Monday night’s performance in order to raise money for Habitat For Humanity's Relief Efforts in Chile.

The play chronicles the true-story accounts of heroic people withstanding horrific human rights abuses across the globe, and was presented by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights – established by Kerry Kennedy in 1988.

Magic Johnson Receives 3rd Annual USA TODAY Hollywood Hero Award

NBA Legend, entrepreneur and philanthropist Earvin "Magic" Johnson received the 3rd annual USA TODAY Hollywood Hero Award presented by USA TODAY President and Publisher Craig A. Moon. A long-time humanitarian and social advocate, Johnson was honored for his work in entertainment, underserved communities and the founding of the Magic Johnson Foundation.

“He’s the perfect Hollywood Hero,” said USA TODAY president and publisher Craig Moon, “the award is about someone who gives more than just their name or money. Magic is a man who gives his time.”

The caliber of celebrities who came out to honor Magic Johnson for his outstanding work in raising awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention in minority communities was nothing short of spectacular. Guests including Chaka Khan, Samuel L. Jackson, Regina King, Russell Simmons and others, offered their words of praise to Magic Johnson, and by the end of the night there was barely a dry eye in the house.

Clooney and Others Auction "Dreams" For Martin Luther King III Foundation

Celebrities from the worlds of sports, entertainment and public service will offer unique personal experiences or memorabilia in an auction to benefit Realizing the Dream, Inc., the charity overseen by Martin Luther King III, eldest son of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and co-founded by former United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young.

A total of 100 “Dreams” will be auctioned in waves, with the first 10 lots going under the hammer on December 21st. Additional Dreams will be added to the roster each Friday.
