The luncheon, to be held Monday, May 6th, at Cipriani 42nd Street, benefits United Cerebral Palsy of New York City and celebrates the extraordinary accomplishments of women as professionals, caregivers, and volunteers.

The TJ Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS Research has announced that legendary recording artists and songwriters Crosby & Nash will take the stage at the 37th Annual Honors Gala on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at the legendary Cipriani on 42nd St in New York.

David Crosby and Graham Nash, best known as the harmony vocalists for folk rock supergroup Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY) are noted for their intricate harmonies and lasting influence on American music and culture. Both Crosby and Nash have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum twice as part of CSNY and have made an indelible mark on American music history.

Celebrity Moms To Raise Awareness Of Toxic Household Chemicals

Kelly Preston, Elisabeth Rohm and Jenna Elfman, Laila Ali and Susan Lucci have teamed up with Healthy Child Healthy World to host childrens’ parties aimed at raising awareness about the toxic chemicals used in household products.

The charity’s Healthy Child Party Week kicks off on May 5, and anyone can host a party.

“I had no idea about all the potential toxins in my household until I personally attended a Healthy Child Healthy World party in 2007,” said Jenna Elfman. “I was pregnant with my first son and learned so much in one short afternoon. It opened the door to much healthier living for my family and I am forever grateful. Now I just want to return the favor.”

Hollywood Legend Ernest Borgnine's Pre-Oscar Party

Most of Hollywood’s celebrities are gearing up for this years Academy Awards, with many of them attending pre-parties in support of their favorite charitable organizations.

One such organization, Believe in Dreams, is throwing a private cocktail party, hosted by Ernest Borgnine and  Chandler Lutz, to raise awareness for their organization, whose goal is to improve the quality of life in seriously ill people.

The bash will welcome stars like Sean Penn, Amanda Seyfried, Henry Winkler, Donny  Osmond, Susan Lucci, Nia Vardalos, and takes place in a large soundstage on the famous Universal Studios backlot in Universal City, CA on March 5, 2010.

Soap Stars To Join Celebrity Charity Trip To Kenya

Three of Daytime TV’s biggest stars – Susan Lucci (“All My Children”), Anthony Geary (“General Hospital”) and Kelly Monaco (“General Hospital)” – will travel to Kenya next month with Feed the Children, an international, non-profit relief organization that supports more than 100,000 children in Kenya’s slums.

The three will document their journey with their own cameras as they aid Feed the Children founders Larry and Frances Jones in delivering food and items to the needy and accompany them on visits to local schools as well as an abandoned baby center built by Feed the Children. Part of the footage they shoot while over there will air as a segment entitled “Daytime Gives Back” during the Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, airing Sunday, August 30th at 8:00p.m. ET/PT on the CW Television Network.

“All My Children” will also incorporate the trip in to their show, in a yet to be determined storyline involving Lucci’s character Erica Kane.

Johansson and Alba Kick Off Million Pair March

Stars such as Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle and Jessica Alba are donating their shoes and support to the Spring Cleaning/Million Pair March organized by Soles4Souls.

The charity provides aid for those in need around the world, and is collecting shoes and funds for a Fall shipment to refugee camps in the war-torn Sudan.

“Bringing sandals to remote villages will change the quality of an impoverished person’s life overnight,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder of Soles4Souls. “Wearing shoes can stop hookworm infections, as well as cuts and puncture wounds from sharp objects that can result in permanent injury. It helps to end the cycle of pain.”
