Celebrities from all fields are donating signed items to support better medical treatments for injured service members.

The Airlift Research Foundation, an organization dedicated to creating better medical solutions for the brave men and women who sustain traumatic limb injuries on the battlefield and at home, is hosting an online auction in order to raise funds critically needed to fulfill its mission.

The auction went live on Veterans Day, at Mission Fish and Ebay.

Canadian Singer/songwriter Melanie Dekker has been nominated for two 2008 Los Angeles Music Awards for Independent Music Video of the Year and the National Community Service Award.

The music video for Dekker’s single, Fall In/Wounded Soldier comes from her 2006 full-length CD Revealed:. A portion of the sales, up to $2 million, goes to help wounded soldiers, an effort that resulted in the National Community Service Award nomination.

Zabit Records, a division of Sonoma Mountain Entertainment LLC, is proud to announce recording artist Melanie Dekker will be featured in an Armed Forces Network and Pentagon Channel public service announcement campaign. The PSA will reach 16 million military households in the US, as well as military personnel in 177 countries, in recognition of her Wounded Soldier and Military Family charitable efforts.

In addition, Melanie’s efforts will also be touted in an American Forces Press Service media campaign, all of which coincide with her European 2007 Spring Tour. Melanie has recently announced that from May 1 to May 31, 2007, and in honor of Military Appreciation Month, she will pledge a portion of the proceeds generated from the sale of her new CD, Revealed, to ‘America Supports You’ Home Front Member Partner Foundations, Operation: Care and Comfort, The Military, Veteran and Family Assistance Foundation and
America Supports You, a nationwide program launched by the Department of Defense, which recognizes citizens’ support for military men and women and communicates that support to members of the US Armed Forces at home and abroad.
