Charity biography
Ondrasik started the website www.whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com to help raise money for charity.
In 2007, he told Look To The Stars that he felt the biggest problem with the world was the threat from radical Islamists.
We asked what steps the world should take to correct this problem, and John said there is a need for “education and awareness for Americans, while supporting Islamic moderates and promoting Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speach, Womens Rights, and Freedom of the Press in Islamic Theocracys and Dictatorships.”
John would like people to remember that “Everyone has the power to make a difference in their own way. Once you make the choice to take action, what follows can be rewarding and life-changing. History Starts…Now.”
In November 2007, Ondrasik coordinated the release of 13 free songs for US military members called CD for the Troops. Over 200,000 CDs were distributed to US troops around the world. Songs were donated by artists such as Billy Joel, Five For Fighting, Gary Sinise, Goo Goo Dolls, Jewel, Melissa Etheridge, and Sarah McLachlan.
