Tuesday’s Hot Pink Party at the Waldorf Astoria was emceed by Elizabeth Hurley and attended by stars such as Bette Midler.
“The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is so grateful to the employees of Delta for their personal commitment to eliminate breast cancer,” said Evelyn Lauder, the foundation’s founder and chairwoman. “Since 2005, Delta employees have gone above and beyond to raise both awareness and funds for the foundation, but this year was exceptional, raising a breath-taking $1 million for life-saving research.
Roger Daltrey's Celebrity Band Helps Launch Charity WorkHub

The Who’s Roger Daltrey attended the launch of a new charity job centre in the UK last week that caters for people with learning difficulties.

The RD Crusaders WorkHub has been set up by Norwood, a charity that supports thousands of people with learning disabilities.

The launch follows a fundraising drive that began two years ago, when Daltrey’s star-studded supergroup, The RD Crusaders, played a concert in Old Billingsgate Market to an audience that included Sarah Ferguson and Elizabeth Hurley. Formed in 2003 by Daltrey and newspaper publisher and Norwood president Richard Desmond, the RD Crusaders consists of band members such as Elkie Brooks, Lulu, Russ Ballard of Argent (who was also at the launch), Rick Wills, Steve Smith and a number of others who join for special gigs – including Gary Moore, Robert Plant Gary Brooker and more. The band has raised millions of dollars for charities such as the Teenage Cancer Trust, the Evelina Children’s Hospital appeal and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Stars Flock To Elton John's Charity Winter Ball

Elton John held his annual Winter Ball to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation in London last night – and some very special guests helped out.

The event, held at the Grey Goose Hotel Du Palais at the Grosvenor in Mayfair, featured a performance by Kelly Rowland and three unique cocktail bars designed by couturier Roland Mouret, model Lily Cole and singer Lily Allen. Guests included Elizabeth Hurley, members of the Sugababes and The Saturdays, and Daniel Merriweather.

“The Foundation prides itself not only on producing beautiful events, but on ensuring that every penny they raise goes directly to our charitable work,” said Sir Elton and his partner, David Furnish. "This event is no exception, thanks to the generosity of Grey Goose. The Foundation is now one of the largest HIV/AIDS charities in the world, yet our overheads are amongst the smallest – currently 4.3%. Over the past year, we have committed to initiatives that change not only the way services are received in local projects but at a national or international level. These include working with the Clinton Foundation to expand and refine treatment services for over 20,000 children in Malawi, Lesotho, Tanzania, Zambia and Kenya, and with Mothers 2 Mothers in the same countries to stop HIV-positive pregnant women transferring the virus to their babies. In Ukraine, a national programme for children will change the way HIV–positive children are told about their illness and how they are treated in school and in society.

LTTS Exclusive - The Caudwell Children Butterfly Ball

Look To The Stars’ UK Correspondent, Richard Barker, attended the Caudwell Children Ball last weekend and filed this exclusive report.

As a photographer and a journalist, I am fortunate enough to have many unique experiences, and I’m pleased to say that on Friday night was one of the best!

Archant London hosted a Press Ball for Caudwell Children. The Butterfly Ball at the Landmark Hotel in London’s Regent Park was attended by some truly inspiring people. Archant London’s Managing Director, Enzo Testa, welcomed the guests telling them though financial conditions were tough, he was confident that by their very presence, their generosity would produce a wealth of cash for the children, and so it proved.

Elizabeth Hurley Donates To Imagine Appeal Event

Alder Hey Imagine Appeal has teamed up with the Racquet Club in Liverpool for it’s first ever Clothes Throw.

With some of Liverpool’s finest fashionistas supporting the event, and the generosity of Merseyside’s style conscious ladies, it’s hoped there will be a plethora of top designer wear for sale at this unique gathering – and with all money raised going to help the work of the world famous children’s hospital.

The concept, the idea of Racquet’s owner Helen Ainscough, is simple. Anyone wishing to make space in their wardrobe for the new season’s must-have’s can donate anything that’s no longer a favourite in advance of the sale. All donated items will then be sold at the Clothes Throw on Monday 28th September at The Racquet Club in Liverpool.
