Charity biography

In 2005, Banner organized the Heal the Hood Foundation’s relief concert to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. In November 2006, David received a Visionary Award by the National Black Caucus of the State Legislature in recognition of his work after Hurricane Katrina.

Banner has a personally-funded college scholarship program which in late 2004 awarded five David Banner fans each $10,0000

In 2004, as a correspondent for MTV News, Banner showed the hideous living and social conditions of Mississippi ghettos during the Presidential Elections.
