Rachael Ray To Host Celebrity Charity Cook-Off

Two of Food Network’s biggest icons, Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri, will square off against each other for culinary bragging rights in Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off, premiering Sunday, January 1st at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

In this six-episode competition series, the Emmy-winning talk show host Rachael Ray and best-selling cookbook author and successful restaurateur Guy Fieri, will each serve as coaches and mentors to eight multi-talented celebrities, all of whom are passionate about food and cooking. Divided into ‘Team Rachael’ and ‘Team Guy’, each episode features celebrity contestants battling it out in a fun, fast-paced culinary fight-to-the-finish, with the two bottom-rated contestants from the losing team going head-to-head in a blind tasting elimination challenge. In the end, the last contestant standing is crowned king or queen of the Celebrity Cook- Off and wins $50,000 for the charity they are playing to support.

“Rachael vs. Guy is the most exciting, funny and suspenseful piece of television I have ever made. This show is true reality television; no staging, no tricks and no do-overs,” said Rachael Ray. “These contestants bonded with each other making the drama of the competition even more thrilling and intense. Celebrities Attend 24 Marathon Challenge For Charity

A host of celebrities were spotted at the Hollywood and Highland Complex last week for the 24 Marathon Challenge Kick-Off Event benefiting My Hope for Children.

The event saw 100 “24” fans into a custom-made home theater to take part in in an attempt to break the World Record. The fans watched back to-back episodes of Jack Bauer in an attempt to win a $10,000 cash prize and bragging rights as a Guinness World Record holder. The current Guinness World Record for Longest Time to Continuously Watch Television is Efraïm van Oeveren of the Netherlands, who watched TV continuously for 86 hours. The complete 24 marathon will take over 150 hours!

The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. Dozens of Hollywood, sports, and poker celebrities will rush Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino this Super Bowl weekend to determine who is this year’s Trash Talk Champion of the World.

On Saturday, February 6th, Sin City’s premier property will host a $1,000 + $70 straddle no-limit hold’em charity poker tournament benefiting the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Master of ceremonies will be Michael Godard, a modern artist who dedicates himself to philanthropic causes through his work. Half of the prize pool will go to charity, the other half will be distributed, along with valuable prizes, to winners.

Drew Barrymore is being hounded by bidders who are doggedly pursuing an exciting new internet auction. The 33-year-old actress is selling a one-of-kind work of art she created… with her pet dog.

The star has donated a canvas featuring her handprints – and the paw prints of her dog, Flossie – to The Rescue Train, an organization that seeks to reduce the number of animals entering shelters by promoting education through creating unique programs and solutions.

The artwork, which can be viewed via www.charityfolks.com, is the last lot in a series of auctions that featured works of art created by celebrities and their pet pooches. Other stars to create canvases included Jessica Alba, Carmen Electra, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Paula Abdul, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Eric Roberts.
