Girls To The Maxx Invite You To No Limit Gala

On December 5, the Girls to the Maxx There is No Limit Foundation will be holding the first annual “La Guinais” Gala in New York to raise funds for the “La Guinais.”

The event, to be held at Mansion in N.Y. (530 West 28th St.), has attracted celebrities from film, music, and sport who will join the cause to raise funds for the cause.

Confirmed celebrities include: TLC’s ‘Take Home Chef’ and author Curtis Stone, NBA superstar and humanitarian Dikembe Mutombo, world renown chef and restaurateur Jean George Vongeritchen, Emmy nominated producer and editor Michael Amoia, and Soap star Denise Vasi.

The evening of entertainment, music and fashion will also draw over 100 corporate executives and Representative of Government as well as the ambassador of Guinea to the United States. It will include a fashion show, and a display of the tie-dye fabrics made by hard working poor women from Guinea Conakry. All of the custom fabrics will be available for sale on through ‘The Girls To The Maxx’ website at a later date.

The “Girls To The Maxx- There Is No Limit Inc.” was founded in 2005 by Mariama Mounir Petrolawicz and co- founded by her sister Aissata Mounir Camara. These two sisters are originally from West Africa Guinea. The foundation seeks to educate and increase public awareness about the issues of poverty, hunger, disease, education, sexual and physical violence. They strive to combine efforts and strategies that will educate people about these problems in order to eradicate them around the world.

The Akron General Development Foundation will host Chef Curtis Stone of the Learning Channel’s Take Home Chef at a patron party on October 12, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, 3180 W. Market St., Fairlawn to benefit Hospice of Visiting Nurses Services in Ohio.

This year’s event ‘’Recipe for Comfort: A Celebration of Food,’’ will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a four-course meal with wine pairings and the opportunity to meet the hottest man to wield a blade. Not only has Stone released his new book ‘Cooking With Curtis: Easy, Everyday and Adventurous Recipes for the Home Cook’, but he was also given a Sexiest Man Alive nod from People Magazine in 2006. The 13th Annual Dine Out Los Angeles is taking place today! Dine Out Los Angeles is a one-day fundraising event, where Los Angeles area restaurants donate 20% or more of their day’s proceeds to Aid For AIDS to help prevent homelessness and hunger for individuals and families impoverished and disabled by HIV/AIDS.

This year’s honorary chefs include Curtis Stone of Take Home on TLC and David Lawrence of Boy Eats World fame.

Aid For AIDS, whose mission is to provide financial assistance for necessities of life to adults and children living below the
poverty-line with HIV/AIDS primarily in Los Angeles County, has the support of such screen celebrities as Peter Gallagher, Charlie Sheen, John C. Reilly and Kathy Griffin.
