Kim Kardashian has blogged about a very special charity event taking place in March 2012.

“This year I was diagnosed with psoriasis, a hereditary, genetic, autoimmune disease that effects over 125 million people around the world and currently has no cure,” she wrote on her official blog. "On March 4 2012 it will be the sixth annual Walk To Cure Psoriasis and I hope you guys will join me in helping raise funds and awareness for the event. Over the last five years they have raised almost 1.5 million dollars to help research for a cure and there are now 22 walks across the country! They also started the first ever DNA BioBank, which is used by researchers across the country and the money from the walk goes directly to this.

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation hosted its annual star-studded A Magical Evening fundraising gala on Wednesday, November 30th at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

Longtime Reeve Foundation supporters Alec Baldwin and Meryl Streep served as the evening’s special guests, along with actors Mark Ruffalo, Dave Annable and Christopher Reeve’s children Matthew Reeve, Alexandra Reeve Givens and Will Reeve. This year’s A Magical Evening gala was the most successful to date, raising close to $3 million, which will help fulfill the Reeve Foundation’s mission of “Today’s Care. Tomorrow’s Cure.”

The success of this year’s gala is largely due to the evening’s honorees that have shown amazing strength and fortitude and have provided a constant source of support and guidance to the Reeve Foundation. As a dear friend of both Christopher and Dana Reeve and a pioneer in investment banking, philanthropy, media and new ventures, Peter D. Stand Up To Cancer announced its list of celebrity ambassadors for 2009 last week.

The organization – which aims to raise money for cancer researchers and scientists to come together and reach their common goal: the cure for cancer – has brought names such as Marcia Cross, Kirsten Dunst, Sally Field, Mandy Moore, Dave Annable, Fran Drescher, Dana Delany, Sharon Osbourne, Patrick Wilson, Sofia Vassilieva and David Archuleta on board to help raise awareness of the cause.

Third Annual Tiger Woods 'Block Party' Raises over $1M

On October 6, Tiger Woods hosted his third annual Block Party at the Grove of Anaheim to benefit the Tiger Woods Learning Center (TWLC), a 14-acre youth-education facility located in Anaheim, California. The yearly event raised more than $1M, which goes directly to programs at the TWLC. “I want the kids to become better,” said Woods, “Better overall as a person, have a better opportunity at life, achieving their goals, and ultimately, giving back what they’ve learned.”

On Saturday morning, Woods hosted a private golf event at Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa, where Fred Couples and John Cook joined Woods for an exhibition game before heading off to the red carpet festivities surrounding the Block Party at the Grove. Crimson lighting, red roses and red carpets decorated the Grove, where over 700 people showed up to support Woods’ efforts.
