Stars Turn Out To Celebrity Charity Event For Autism

A host of celebrities attended the 5th annual Denim and Diamonds for Autism event hosted by ACT Today! (Autism Care and Treatment Today) on Saturday, October 23, in Hidden Hills, California.

ACT Today! is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to provide resources and support for children with autism, whose families cannot afford the necessary tools their child needs to reach their highest potential or live a productive life.

The event included an outdoor cocktail hour, dinner buffet, fashion show, silent & live auction, and live entertainment. Among the stars who attended were Bones’ David Boreanaz, George Clinton (Singer/“Father of Funk”), Grammy-winning artist Macy Gray, actor Max Ryan (“Sex and the City:2”), Adrienne Maloof-Nassif (“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”), Marcus Allen (Super Bowl Champion/TV Personality), Wilmer Valderrama (“That 70’s Show”), Brandi Cyrus (Singer/Actor), Greg Grunberg (Actor, “Heroes”), Tom Bergeron (Host, “Dancing With the Stars”), Marla Maples, Marissa Jaret Winokur, corporate and community leaders, parents of children with autism, and other supporters.

Twilight Star To Attend Harvest And Crush Event To Honor Charity

The stars will be out in Malibu, California, on Sunday for charity.

The 10th Annual Harvest and Crush Event is an exclusive and exquisite event held on the Semler’s private 1,000 acre estate and features fine wine, signature dishes from local restaurants, luxury auctions, foot spa, and a special tribute from “25 Artists Creating 25 Heart-themed Pieces to Celebrate 25 Years of City Hearts”.

There will be wonderful activities for children, including the Fairy Enchantment area, Culinary Interactive Arts, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, special appearances by William Shakespeare and Queen Elizabeth I, and the City Hearts students. And this year, in honor of City Hearts Silver Anniversary, Tesla Motors will be on hand with their luxury electric Roadster and donating “24-Hours with the Roadster”.

Mick Fleetwood To Play The Blues For Charity

The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band will play a special charity gig in Hollywood on January 28, and a host of celebrities are planning to attend.

The gig will take place at the House of Blues on Sunset Avenue on Thursday night, and will raise money for charity We.The.Children.

“The goal is to sell out the House of Blues, and the more we raise the more effective we will be as a community with helping homeless children find a way off the streets as well as helping . . . victims of the earthquake in Haiti,” said charity founder Asal Masomi.

World Magic Awards To Feed The Children

You can help make the problem of starving children disappear by attending the 2008 World Magic Awards this Saturday, October 11.

Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, the show will benefit Feed the Children, an organization that provides food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families who lack these essentials due to famine, war, poverty, or natural disaster.

Featuring a host of the world’s best magicians – including Hans Klok – the World Magic Awards will attract John Schneider, Corbin Bernsen, Melora Hardin, Jonathan Schaech, Debbie Matenopolous, Ernie Hudson, Buzz Aldrin, Cristian de la Fuente, Ashley Jones and many others.

A Little "Moore" For Charity

What more could Bond star Sir Roger Moore do than receive a star on the walk of fame this week? The answer would be, host one of the biggest charity events of the weekend, the World Magic Awards on Saturday October, 13th.

The charity event benefitted the Feed the Children organization. Sir Roger was not the only the star on the scene to support the event. The legendary scene stealer Joan Collins was there as well as blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson, magician Hans Klok, Donald Trump’s ex-wife Marla Maples, John Schneider, Robert Vaughn, Eric Roberts and many more. Famous magicians from around the world put on quite a show.

This magical event will be televised in December. Proceeds from the network licensing fee and sponsorships will be going to Feed the Children organization. The mission is to use magic to make a happy and healthier world for children.
