My World Acoustic came out today, and will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – an organization founded by Donny and Marie Osmond and John Schneider in 1983, dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children¹s hospitals across North America. Each year the 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals provide the finest medical care, life-saving research and preventative education to help millions of kids overcome diseases and injuries of every kind.

“I am in the position to give back thanks to my fans and God. I wrote ‘Pray’ thinking I wanted to help others and I feel like I have a responsibility to do so,” said Bieber via Twitter. “What is the point of doing all this if you can’t make a difference in others’ lives? This album is a gift to my fans and the money raised from it allows us all to help out.”

The economy shows no appreciable improvement for the people of Skid Row – and the Los Angeles Mission has seen continued high levels of need over the past few months. But Wednesday was an opportunity for the residents of the area to gather and be thankful for what they do have.

Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas, along with his wife Anne, hosted the event for the sixth year in a row. They were joined by hundreds of volunteers from the entertainment industry, government, local businesses, and community members – including Kate Linder, John Schneider, Blair Underwood and many more. Many of the volunteers were from Wells Fargo Bank, who sponsored the event with a $40,000 donation.

Joe Mantegna, Joe Pesci and John Schneider are just three of the celebrities lined up to play in the 7th Annual Hack n’ Smack Celebrity Golf Tournament.

The tournament, benefiting the Melanoma Research Foundation, has been named one of the top 10 Celebrity Golf Tournaments in Southern California. It takes place on April 19th, and is in memory of actor Kerry Daveline.

“Every hour of every day, someone dies of melanoma in the U.S. Melanoma strikes people of all ages, races, and economic levels. One in 75 Americans will develop melanoma during their lifetime. The USO will be the beneficiary of a night of entertainment next weekend, when a host of stars come out to celebrate the organization.

The LAPD Concert Band, “C.O.P.S.” and The Bob Hope Hollywood USO at LAX, will present musical and video tributes to the seven decades of USO service at the Sabine Theatre in Beverly Hills on Sunday, February 21.

Jenny McCarthy and Lance Armstrong are teaming up this Friday, October 3, for a special poker event to raise money for autism research.

Ante Up For Autism will raise money for TACA (Talk About Curing Autism), an organization for which McCarthy is a spokesperson. Words can not express the gratitude that Marie Osmond has for the staff at the Children’s Hospital for Wales after they saved her five-year-old son Stephen’s life during a severe asthma attack.

“I was in my bus touring, and he stopped breathing and turned blue and his machine didn’t work,” said Marie. “I remember I said a prayer, and we drove probably 100mph down the road in a bus, and there was a children’s hospital. They rushed him in there and they saved his life.”

What more could Bond star Sir Roger Moore do than receive a star on the walk of fame this week? The answer would be, host one of the biggest charity events of the weekend, the World Magic Awards on Saturday October, 13th.

The charity event benefitted the Feed the Children organization. Sir Roger was not the only the star on the scene to support the event. The legendary scene stealer Joan Collins was there as well as blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson, magician Hans Klok, Donald Trump’s ex-wife Marla Maples, John Schneider, Robert Vaughn, Eric Roberts and many more. Famous magicians from around the world put on quite a show.

This magical event will be televised in December. Proceeds from the network licensing fee and sponsorships will be going to Feed the Children organization. The mission is to use magic to make a happy and healthier world for children.
