Megan Fox Donates Video Proceeds To Charity

Megan Fox, who appears in Eminem’s new music video Love the Way You Lie, will donate her earnings to help a woman’s shelter that focuses on abused women and their kids.

The shelter, named Sojourn House, helps abused women rebuild and reestablish their lives, starting with their self-esteem. The video, starring Eminem and featuring Rihanna, premiered August 5th at 9pm.

“It was great to have Rihanna, Megan and Dominic on board for this…they really brought it and made this video super-powerful,” commented Eminem.

X-Files And Lost Stars Doodle For Charity

National Doodle Day will once again kick off on March 5 in the UK, with a host of celebrities putting pen to paper for a charity auction.

The doodles include artworks from The X-Files’ Gillian Anderson, Eric Idle, Amanda Holden, Boyzone, Catherine Tate, Chris Tarrant, Lost’s Dominic Monaghan, Fearne Cotton, Geri Halliwell, Ian Botham, Jacqueline Wilson, Jason Flemyng, Rolf Harris, Twiggy and many more.

It’s the seventh time the initiative has been run, with proceeds going to Epilepsy Action and the Neurofibromatosis Association.

Jamie Foxx And Dominic Monaghan Make Musical Charity Surprise

Jamie Foxx surprised a group of high school students with $500,000 of new musical instruments this week.

Fidelity Investments, in partnership with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Boston Pops, the Houston Symphony and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, yesterday kicked off the 2010 Fidelity FutureStage music education program, a national initiative to support arts education in public schools. The celebration event was held as a four-city simulcast from Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Boston’s Symphony Hall, Houston’s Jones Hall and Kenwood Academy in Chicago.

Hosted by film and television actor Dominic Monaghan, the event brought together representatives and musicians of the Fidelity FutureStage partner symphonies, student musical performances and special guests in each city including Oscar-winning actor and musician Jamie Foxx in Los Angeles and actress Joan Cusack from her hometown of Chicago.

Environmental organization Global Green USA will hold their annual pre-Oscar party this week and have invited some stellar performers and hosts.

Entertainment at this year’s party will include Sheryl Crow and Gavin Rossdale and co-hosting the event are stars such as Orlando Bloom, Leonardo DiCaprio, Penelope Cruz , Rosario Dawson, Marisa Tomei, Kate Bosworth, Sebastian Copeland, Lyn & Norman Lear, Damien Rice, Heather Graham, Roland Emmerich, Dominic Monaghan, Matt Petersen, Neil Patrick Harris, Sharon Lawrence and Esai Morales.

Proceeds from the evening – which includes drinks and a gift bag – will go to Global Green USA’s Green Schools Initiative. Green Schools are community facilities that are designed, built, renovated, operated, or reused in an ecological and resource-efficient manner. Green schools protect occupant health, provide a productive learning environment, connect students to the natural world, increase average daily attendance, reduce operating costs, improve teacher satisfaction and retention, and reduce overall impact to the environment.
