Alan Alda

Established the Jenjo Foundation with his wife to help nonprofits working with low-income women and children.

In 2005, Alda narrated a one-hour special TV show called Fighting for Life for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

In 2012, in an effort to help make science more accessible to the general public, Alda sent out a challenge to all scientists to explain what a flame is in a way that an 11-year-old could understand.
