Christopher Eccleston Charity Work, Events and Causes

Following his stint as Doctor Who and before joining the cast of the US sci-fi hit Heroes, actor Christopher Eccleston travelled to Banda Aceh, Indonesia, to highlight the British Red Cross' work in the region following the devastating tsunami.

While in the field he said: “I’m now realising how long and complex a recovery operation like this is. All I can tell you is what I’ve seen – bravery, courage and defiance – which has been very humbling.” Chris hopes to return to see progress made in the not-too-distant future.
