Derek Jeter is an American baseball shortstop who has played 17 years in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees.

He established the Turn 2 Foundation in 1996 to help children and teenagers avoid drug and alcohol addiction, and to reward those who show high academic achievement.
