Erin Raftery Charity Work, Events and Causes

Actress, French scholar of International Affairs (Université Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle), wife to actor Randy Ryan (Public Enemies), and children’s advocate, Erin Raftery is a petite east coast native with a huge heart for others around the world.

As a Massachusetts conservationist, Raftery supports The Linda Loring Nature Foundation, a private operating foundation dedicated to preserving the pristine natural habitat that surrounds the Head of Long Pond.

She lobbied on Capital Hill for Population Connection, a Washington D.C. non-profit advocating for progressive action to stabilize world population at a level that can be sustained by Earth’s resources.

Her work in the pre-natal care unit with the University of Dakar in Senegal, West Africa and support of Grassroot Soccer – a registered 501©(3) using the power of soccer in the fight against HIV and AIDS – inspired her as charity manager of the Sirens of Soccer to recently raise over $22,000 for orphans and HIV and AIDS victims in Africa.

The Sirens are partnered with Global Futbol Initiative, a non-profit charitable organization that supplies soccer balls to underprivileged communities throughout the world, and SOS Children's Villages, an international non-governmental social development organization that has been active in the field of children’s rights and committed to children’s needs and concerns since 1949 in 132 countries and territories.

As a networker for sustainable solutions and innovative fundraiser (E!: “Bank of Hollywood” winner), Raftery supports non-profit organizations such as Village Volunteers, a non-profit working in partnership with rural village programs to support the development of sustainable solutions for community survival, education, and growth, and Hollywood Unites For Haiti, a non profit charitable aid organization raising global awareness of ways in which people can help victims of the earthquake, and promoting sports and cultural activities for the underprivileged youth of Haiti.
