Erykah Badu Charity Work, Events and Causes

Badu’s own charity, Beautiful Love Incorporated Non Profit Development (B.L.I.N.D.), was set up to provide community-driven development for inner-city youth through music, dance, theater and visual arts.

Since B.L.I.N.D.’s formation in 2003, Erykah has established herself as a rarity among celebrities. Beyond just donating to charity, she is directly involved in her philanthropic pursuits. Organizing after-school outreach programs, renovating city landmarks, and encouraging other pop icons to volunteer their time and talent are just a few of the ways Erykah Badu is working toward positive cultural change.
