Professor Brian Cox started out as a rock star with the band D’Ream before graduating with a first class honours degree in physics from the University of Manchester and a PhD in High Energy Particle Physics at the DESY laboratory in Hamburg.
Brian received an OBE for his services to Science in 2010.
